Kuwait

Kuwait does not have a significant history of mining. The country's economy has primarily relied on its oil reserves. However, there have been some efforts to explore and exploit other minerals such as limestone, sulfur, and copper.

In the 1970s, the Kuwaiti government established the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company to investigate the potential for mining, including minerals and metals. However, these efforts never gained significant traction. With the decline in oil prices and the need for economic diversification, there have been renewed efforts to explore and exploit non-oil resources. In recent years, Kuwait has made some investments in minerals and mining, particularly in the extraction of limestone and the exploration of copper deposits.
