Aduro Clean Technologies Inc
Aduro Clean Technologies Inc. (CSE: ACT, OTCQB: ACTHF, FSE: 9D50) is a development-stage company focused on developing and commercializing its proprietary HydrochemolyticTM (HCT) chemical conversion technology. The HCT platform technology aims to transform environmentally undesirable feedstocks into higher-value fuels and chemicals.
Aduro is initially focused on two main applications of its HCT platform: plastic waste upcycling and bitumen upgrading. For the former, Aduro utilizes its continuous-flow HCT reactor to convert post-consumer mixed plastic waste into usable chemicals and fuels. On the bitumen side, the company uses a batch reactor configuration to upgrade heavy crude oils into higher-quality oil products. Both applications are currently at the pilot-testing stage in Aduro's Sarnia, Ontario research and development facility.
The company was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Sarnia. In addition to its lab and pilot facilities in Sarnia, Aduro recently established a European subsidiary based in Geleen, Netherlands to serve as a hub for European market access and deployment. Members of Aduro's management team have previous experience commercializing novel technologies in the energy and chemical industries.
Aduro states that its HCT platform has potential high-value applications across waste plastic upcycling, renewable oils upgrading, and bitumen upgrading verticals. The company is targeting total addressable markets exceeding $250 billion by 2030. As of June 2023, Aduro had a market capitalization of approximately $57.5 million. The company expects to ramp up commercialization and recurring revenue generation over the next 3-5 years.
