Argentina Lithium & Energy Corp (TSX-V: LIT, OTC: PNXLF, FSE: OAY3) is a lithium exploration company focused on the Lithium Triangle in Argentina. LIT holds over 67,000 hectares of lithium claims across four salt lakes in the provinces of Salta and Catamarca. These properties are strategically located near key infrastructure.
LIT is exploring for lithium brine which is a key material used in lithium-ion batteries. The company is at the exploration stage and is actively delineating lithium brine aquifers at its Rincon West Project using geophysical surveys and exploratory drilling. Nine drill holes at Rincon West have intersected brine aquifers with grades between 287 to 402 mg/liter lithium, confirming that lithium brines from an adjacent project hosted by Rio Tinto extend onto the LIT property.
In September 2023, Argentina Lithium announced a US$90 million investment by Stellantis in the company’s Argentine subsidiary. The company plans to complete initial geophysical surveys at these projects in early 2024 to identify drill targets to test for lithium-bearing brines.
