Astron Corporation Limited is a mineral sands and rare earths exploration and development company. Its flagship project is the Donald Rare Earths and Mineral Sands project located in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia, approximately 300km northwest of Melbourne.

The Donald project contains a globally significant mineral sands and rare earths resource, including over 2.4 million tonnes of rare earth oxides and 22 million tonnes of zircon, it is the third largest rare earth resource outside of China and the largest global zircon resource. The project has an initial planned production capacity of over 13,000 tonnes per annum of rare earth oxides and 93,500 tonnes per annum of zircon.

Astron has completed a definitive feasibility study on the Donald project and holds key approvals including an Environmental Effects Statement, federal environmental approval, Cultural Heritage Management Plan, and Mining Licence. The company is progressing towards a final investment decision, targeting first production in the third quarter of 2025.

In addition to the flagship Donald project, Astron holds the Niafarang mineral sands project in Senegal with key licenses in place. The company has a market capitalization of approximately AUD$65 million as of June 2023 with a strong strategic appeal for the rare earth global demand growth and short to midterm supply deficits for zircon.
