Austral Resources Australia Ltd

Austral Resources Australia Ltd is an Australian copper cathode producer and explorer focused on developing copper assets in the Mount Isa region of northwest Queensland. The company owns and operates the Anthill copper mine, which achieved commercial production of LME Grade A copper cathode in December 2022.

The Anthill open pit mine has an initial 4-year mine life, producing copper cathode through heap leach and solvent extraction electrowinning (SX-EW) processing at the company's Mount Kelly processing plant. The Anthill project has a reported ore reserves of 4.41 Mt at 0.85% copper. while the Mount Kelly plant has a capacity to produce 30,000 tonnes of copper cathode per year.

In addition to Anthill, Austral Resources has an exploration tenure covering over 2,100 square kilometers in the highly prospective Mount Isa district. The company is actively exploring extending Anthill's mine life as well as developing its Lady Colleen copper project. 

As of 31 December 2022, Austral Resources has a global JORC-compliant mineral resource of 55.4 Mt at 0.74% copper for 410,000 tonnes of contained copper.
