Blue Star Helium Limited is an Australian helium exploration and development company focused on delivering clean primary helium production. Its Voyager high-grade helium discovery is located in Las Animas County, Colorado, USA and has a contingent resource of 643 MMcf of helium, with additional prospective resources of over 13 Bcf across Blue Star's extensive 311,569 gross lease acreage in the region.
Blue Star Helium is aiming to establish itself as a reliable, low-cost, independent primary helium producer amid tightening global supply and surging demand for this finite resource. The Voyager discovery stands out with its best-in-class helium concentration of 8.8%, similar to the neighboring historic Model Dome field, and together with the Galactica and Pegasus discoveries,
The company has a clear pathway to production at Voyager, having signed a gas processing services agreement with US helium midstream specialist IACX Energy. This provides a capex-lite route to initial output, with modular expansion potential.
First production from Voyager is targeted for Q4 2023, followed by potential larger-scale development at the de-risked Galactica and Pegasus discoveries. With helium prices rising sharply on global supply shocks, Blue Star Helium is strategically positioned to deliver attractive returns as an early mover focused on the world's largest helium market.
