Capella Minerals Inc. is advancing copper, cobalt, zinc, lithium, and rare earth element projects in Norway and Finland to supply critical metals needed for Europe's green energy transition. The Hessjøgruva project in Norway contains a historical copper-zinc-cobalt resource open for expansion. A drill program is planned to upgrade and expand resources. The Løkken project contains multiple drill-ready targets in a past producing district. Other assets include a JV on lithium-REE projects in Finland and copper-gold targets in northern Finland.
In Norway, the Hessjøgruva project is an advanced stage exploration asset with historical drilling outlining a volcanic massive sulphide deposit enriched in copper, zinc and cobalt. Mineralization remains open down dip and along strike. Metallurgical studies and a drilling program are planned with the goal of completing an initial resource estimate. The nearby Løkken and Vaddas projects provide district potential for additional discoveries.
In Finland, the company has joint ventured lithium and rare earth element projects covering known spodumene pegmatite fields that have seen limited exploration. The goal is to define 5-10 million tonne resources grading over 1% lithium oxide. A copper-gold joint venture in northern Finland is exploring targets along a highly prospective geological contact that hosts major deposits.
Upcoming catalysts include drill programs at Hessjøgruva and the lithium projects, and advancement of assets to drill-ready status.
