Cenovus Energy Inc.

Cenovus Energy Inc. is a Canadian integrated oil and natural gas company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, developing oil sands and conventional oil and natural gas assets as well as offshore oil production operations off the coast of Newfoundland, and refining and marketing operations in the United States.

The company has regulatory approval for gross production growth capacity of 80,000 barrels per day through 2025-2027 from its Foster Creek, Christina Lake, and Narrows Lake oil sands projects. It also has several emerging oil sands projects that are not yet approved. Cenovus's conventional oil and gas business targets light oil and natural gas production from properties located throughout Alberta and British Columbia.

The company owns the White Rose and Terra Nova fields located offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. First oil from the West White Rose project expansion in the Atlantic region remains on track for 2026 and is expected to reach peak production of approximately 45,000 barrels per day net to Cenovus.

In the downstream business, Cenovus owns refineries in the U.S. states of Illinois, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin. Combined with its Lloydminster upgrader and refinery complex in Alberta, Cenovus has crude oil refining and upgrading capacity of approximately 745,000 barrels per day. This downstream business provides geographic market diversity to Cenovus's predominant upstream Canadian oil production operations.
