Gunpoint Exploration Ltd. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing gold and silver deposits primarily located in the United States. The company's flagship property is the Talapoosa gold project, a low-sulphidation gold-silver property situated in Lyon County, Nevada.
Talapoosa hosts a National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate of 23.1 million tons of gold at 0.035 oz/t AuEq in the measured and indicated categories. The Talapoosa land package covers approximately 6,018 contiguous hectares within lies the company's Appaloosa trend, located 1-kilometer northeast of the main Talapoosa trend.
Gunpoint is currently at the exploration and evaluation stage on all of its properties. In September 2022, Gunpoint received US$250,000 upon signing the Newcrest Agreement and signed an option agreement allowing Newcrest to earn up to a 75% interest in the Appaloosa trend by meeting certain exploration expenditure, cash payment, and resource milestone conditions over an eight-year period. Newcrest is undertaking a minimum US$2 million in exploration expenditures during the Option Phase, an 18-month period ending June 2024.
In addition to its flagship Talapoosa project, Gunpoint owns early-stage exploration properties in Mexico and Guatemala. The company aims to utilize the funds and technical expertise provided through its agreement with Newcrest to advance exploration across its portfolio over the coming years.
