Helium One
Helium One Global is focused on exploration for primary helium in Tanzania. The company holds licenses across three basins where surface helium concentrations up to 10.6% have been measured. Helium has a range of high-tech applications in computing, aerospace, electronics, and medicine that are driving rapid demand growth.
In the Rukwa basin, the 2021 Tai-1 well encountered multiple helium shows at different levels, demonstrating a working helium system. Based on 2D seismic, Helium One plans to spud the Tai-C well in Q3 2023 targeting an updip structural closure. The company raised £9.9 million in late 2022 to fund this drilling. Additional seismic surveys and field sampling are advancing exploration at the company's Eyasi and Balangida projects.
Unlike most current helium production that is a byproduct of hydrocarbons, Helium One is targeting a clean, sustainable primary helium resource. The experienced board and management team has extensive technical knowledge of the East Africa Rift hydrocarbon systems. Helium pricing is seeing significant increases under new long-term supply contracts.
