Maritime Resources is focused on developing its high grade Hammerdown gold project in Newfoundland. A 2022 feasibility study outlines a low capital, high return open pit mine producing 60,000 ounces per year at $912/oz AISC. The project has a 1.7 year payback and $103 million NPV at $1,750/oz gold price.
Maritime has acquired an existing gold circuit at the nearby Nugget Pond mill. This provides a clear path to production at Hammerdown. The project was released from its environmental assessment in 2021. Maritime is completing remaining permits.
Beyond Hammerdown, Maritime has a large 400 sq km land package with exploration upside. The Orion deposit and other targets along the 10km Hammerdown trend offer potential to expand resources. New target areas like Whisker Valley have been identified through exploration work.
Maritime aims to become a sustainable gold producer in Newfoundland’s Baie Verte mining district. Near term catalysts are completing Hammerdown permitting, exploration results, and project financing. The company offers leverage to the gold price in a top tier jurisdiction.
