NEO Battery Materials Company Overview

Neo Battery Materials Ltd. is a Vancouver-based resource company focused on the development of silicon anode materials for lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles. NBM is developing a proprietary nanocoating technology, NBMSiDE, to produce low-cost, long-lasting silicon anode materials made from metallurgical silicon.

NBM’s flagship project is the construction of a commercial silicon anode material production plant in South Korea with a planned phase four capacity of 5,000 tonnes per annum by 2027-2028. The plant aims to capitalize on strong expected growth in electric vehicle adoption and lithium battery demand over the next decade.

Additionally, NBM aims to construct silicon anode material production plants in North America by 2026 through joint-venture partnerships to establish itself as a global supplier. The company is already undertaking evaluation work with over 20 battery manufacturers and electric vehicle OEMs to validate and optimize its technology.

The company aims for plant completion by the first half of 2024 and to license its nanocoating intellectual property to emerging battery supply chain partners as part of its commercialization strategy.
