Tirupati Graphite (LSE:TGR) is a flake graphite production and exploration company focused on becoming a leading global supplier for lithium-ion battery and other renewable energy applications. It is listed on the Main Board of the London Stock Exchange.
Tirupati is currently producing flake graphite from its projects in Madagascar, which have a total resource of over 30 million tons and an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons per annum (TPA). The company also holds projects in Mozambique with JORC-compliant resources of 152.5 million tons of graphite.
The Madagascar assets include the operating Sahamamy project with 18,000 tpa capacity and the 12,000 tpa Vatomina project. Tirupati is pursuing expansions to 84,000 tpa in Madagascar along with the initial development of a 50,000 tpa processing plant at its Montepuez project in Mozambique. The Mozambique assets have the potential to support over 150,000 tpa production.
Tirupati has invested around £25 million to date to achieve its current production scale. It utilizes proprietary technologies and methodologies to ensure competitive opex and capex. The company aims to supply 8% of global graphite demand by 2030, driven by strong growth forecasts for lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles and renewable energy storage.
