Tlou Energy

Tlou Energy Limited is an Australian-based company focused on developing gas-to-power projects in Botswana. Tlou is developing the Lesedi coal bed methane (CBM) gas-to-power project located in Botswana’s Central District. The project is in the development stage and has an initial 10-megawatt power generation capacity with potential for significant expansion where Tlou has a 100% interest in the project.

Independent reserves certification estimates Tlou's share of 2P gas reserves for the project at around 25.2 billion cubic feet, with around 214 bcf of 2C contingent gas resources. The reserves provide a strong foundation to support the initial 10MW development, with upside potential from the contingent resources.

The Lesedi project has key approvals in place, including environmental approvals and a 10MW power purchase agreement signed. Tlou is focused on completing supporting infrastructure like gas field development, power transmission lines and generation facilities to enable first gas-fired power generation which is targeted for 2024.
