Vulcan Steel Limited is a metals distribution and processing company operating in Australia and New Zealand. VSL distributes and processes steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other metal products operating for over 70 years and has grown to become one of the largest metals distribution and processing companies in Australasia. Headquartered in New Zealand, VSL has over 70 sites across Australia and New Zealand with over 1,400 people.

In August 2022, VSL acquired Ullrich Aluminium, significantly expanding its product and service offering in aluminium. Ullrich Aluminium is an integrated aluminium solutions provider operating 15 sites across Australia and New Zealand. The acquisition established VSL as a leading distributor of aluminium products across the region.

The company retains a clear focus on growth through brownfield expansion, new site establishment, product range expansion and mergers and acquisitions where VSL now has a broad customer base of over 12,000 active accounts. In FY2022, VSL generated revenues of NZ$1.2 billion, EBITDA of NZ$235 million and has paid dividends consistently for 29 years.
