Westbridge Renewable Energy Corp.
Westbridge Renewable Energy Corporation is a renewable energy developer focused on advancing utility-scale solar projects in key markets, including Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The company is currently developing five solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Alberta, Canada with a total capacity of 1,631 MWdc and 653 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Westbridge's flagship project, Georgetown Solar PV project, is a 278 MWdc project located in Vulcan County, southern Alberta. It has already received regulatory approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission and the company has entered definitive agreements to transfer the project upon completion of development. The other 4 projects in Alberta - Sunnynook, Dolcy, Eastervale and Red Willow - are between 246-332 MWdc in capacity and also have battery storage components planned. These projects are currently progressing through the required regulatory approvals.
Outside of Canada, Westbridge is also advancing the 221 MWdc Accalia Point solar project in Texas, which has completed interconnection studies, as well as the Fiskerton battery storage project adjacent to an existing solar farm in Lincolnshire, England.
With over 1.6 GW of solar photovoltaic projects under development and a vision to continue expanding globally both organically and through strategic acquisitions, Westbridge Renewable Energy is positioned to be a leading player in the rapidly growing utility-scale solar energy market.
