Andrada Mining Confirms High-Grade Lithium Results in Third Drill Batch at Lithium Ridge

Andrada Mining's third drill batch confirms high-grade lithium mineralisation at Lithium Ridge, alongside associated tin and tantalum.

  • Third batch of assay results, covering six additional diamond drill holes, confirmed lithium mineralisation from surface at the Lithium Ridge Project in Namibia
  • Drill hole LRD027 returned 9.05 metres grading 2.28% lithium oxide, including 3.97 metres at 3.46%
  • Drill hole LRD024 intersected 13.27 metres grading 1.42% lithium oxide, while LRD023 returned 9.64 metres at 1.24%
  • Tin and tantalum mineralisation was confirmed across all holes reported in this batch
  • The company completed its extended Stage 1 drilling campaign, comprising 143 holes and 16,500 metres of oriented core

Andrada Mining Limited (AIM: ATM, OTCQB: ATMTF) is a Namibia-based tin producer with a portfolio of critical minerals exploration assets, including lithium, tantalum, tungsten and copper. The company is listed on London's AIM market and operates the Uis Tin Mine in Namibia, alongside its exploration projects. Andrada's Lithium Ridge Project is being advanced through a partnership with Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM), structured as an earn-in agreement under which SQM may acquire a 30% interest in the project by funding and completing the Stage 1 exploration programme.

Third Batch High-Grade Lithium Drill Results Confirming Mineralisation From Surface

Andrada released the third set of assay results from Lithium Ridge, covering six additional diamond drill holes. Drill hole LRD027 returned 9.05 metres grading 2.28% lithium oxide from 50.82 metres depth, including a higher-grade interval of 3.97 metres at 3.46%. Drill hole LRD023 intersected 9.64 metres at 1.24%, including 5.11 metres at 1.89%.

Drill hole LRD024 returned 13.27 metres grading 1.42% lithium oxide, including 6.79 metres at 1.90%. Drill hole LRD037 intersected 3.97 metres at 0.95%, including 1.51 metres at 1.51%. Spodumene was identified by the project's geology team as the primary lithium-bearing mineral across the intersections.

No top cut was applied when calculating the weighted average grades reported for the mineralised intersections. The technical data contained in the release was reviewed by Professor Laurence Robb, a non-executive director of Andrada.

Completion of Extended Stage 1 Drilling Campaign Comprising 143 Holes

Andrada has completed its Stage 1 drilling campaign at Lithium Ridge. The programme was expanded during the year by approximately 18% to a total of 143 holes and 16,500 metres of oriented core drilling. With drilling complete, the exploration team's focus has moved to logging and sampling the remaining core.

The programme was conducted with SQM under the earn-in agreement described above.

Chief Executive Officer Anthony Viljoen said:

"We continue to receive exciting results from the recently completed drill programme at Lithium Ridge, conducted with our partners SQM. Intersection grades up to 3.46% Li2O near-surface, demonstrate exceptional quality and scale, reaffirming our shared conviction in the potential of the asset."

The company described completion of the campaign as a de-risking milestone for the project.

Associated Tin and Tantalum Mineralisation Supporting Polymetallic Project Economics

Tin and tantalum mineralisation was confirmed across all holes reported in this batch. Drill hole LRD029 returned 4.97 metres grading 0.21% tin and 130 parts per million tantalum. Andrada already produces tin and tantalum concentrate at its Uis operation in Namibia.

Analysis for lithium and other major elements was conducted using sodium peroxide fusion with ICP-OES, while tin, tantalum and other trace elements were analysed using lithium borate fusion with ICP-MS.

Chief Executive Officer Anthony Viljoen said:

"The additional presence of significant associated tin and tantalum mineralisation adds a highly attractive multi-commodity dimension to the potential project economic profile. Lithium Ridge is rapidly establishing itself as a standout project within Andrada's critical minerals portfolio in Namibia."

Outlook

Following completion of Stage 1 drilling, Andrada's exploration team is continuing to log and sample the remaining core, with the aim of accelerating the delivery of further assay results. The company has indicated it will continue reporting drilling and sampling updates from Lithium Ridge as they become available.
