E2Gold - Exploring a Potential Multi-Million Ounce Gold District in Ontario

E2Gold is exploring its 79,000 hectare Hawkins Gold Project in Ontario near the Hemlo gold mine. With a large underexplored land package and experienced team, E2Gold offers investors upside through potential discovery of a major new gold district.

  • E2Gold is a junior gold exploration company focused on the Hawkins Gold Project in north central Ontario, Canada. The project's McKinnon Zone has an NI 43-101 compliant resource of 328,000 oz gold.
  • The geology is similar to the Hemlo deposit - located on a major shear zone, associated with greenstone belt, intrusive rocks, and high strain deformation. Alteration and mineralization styles also appear comparable.
  • Recent drilling by E2Gold has targeted depth extensions of the McKinnon Zone to 500m, as well as strike extensions. Assays are pending on 15 additional holes.
  • Success would be intersections of 6-10 g/t gold over a couple meters at 500m depth. This is comparable to Hemlo's average grade.
  • Historic exploration focused on base metals. Advances in technology and geological thinking have improved E2Gold's ability to explore for gold deposits in the region.

About E2Gold

E2Gold is a Canadian junior gold exploration company focused on exploring and developing its 79,000 hectare Hawkins Gold Project located in north-central Ontario, Canada. The company is led by a team of experienced geologists including CEO Eric Owens, who has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. E2Gold is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker ETU.

Highlights from E2Gold's Exploration Update

Mckinnon Zone Shows Similarities to HemloThe Mckinnon Zone is located on E2Gold's Hawkins property and contains an NI 43-101 compliant resource of 328,000 ounces of gold in 6.2 million tons at 1.65 g/t gold. The mineralization and alteration in the Mckinnon Zone shows similarities to the world-class 24 million ounce Hemlo gold mine 45km away. The rock types, structural setting, and intrusion-related signature at Mckinnon are comparable to Hemlo. While still early stage, E2Gold believes it is exploring a large-scale oregenic gold system akin to Hemlo.

Systematic Drill Program Testing multiple Targets

E2Gold currently has assays pending on 15 drill holes from its latest drill program at Hawkins. Six of these holes are testing over 500m below the Mckinnon Zone, stepping out systematically around the 3.5km zone. Several other holes are testing the along-strike and dip potential of the Mckinnon Zone through geochemical sampling and geophysical targets. Additional holes are testing new targets in the northern part of the property package beyond the known Mckinnon zone mineralization. The results from this systematic drill program will drive the next stage of more focused drilling at Hawkins.

Exploring a Vast Underexplored Territory

While the Mckinnon Zone shows promise, it forms just a small 3.5km portion of E2Gold's expansive 79,000 hectare Hawkins property. Much of the property remains underexplored, especially a large western claim block that is covered by glacial till. E2Gold plans to conduct soil orientation surveys over this till-covered area to determine the best sampling techniques for identifying mineralization below the overburden. The company also recently flew a large airborne magnetic survey over this western claim block and had the data reprocessed to refine drill targets in this unexplored area.

Advances in Technology Unlocking Potential

The geology around the Mckinnon Zone has seen exploration activity in the past, mainly in the 1980s and 90s. However, the focus at the time was on base metals rather than gold. Additionally, many of the large-scale oreogenic gold deposits in the region have only been discovered in the past 10-15 years thanks to advances in exploration technology. E2Gold believes there is significant undiscovered potential in the region given these technological advances in areas such as geophysics, geochemistry, 3D modeling and data processing. The company's systematic exploration program aims to leverage these modern technologies to make new discoveries.

Conclusion

E2Gold presents an attractive investment opportunity in a potential new Ontario gold district. With its vast 79,000 hectare land package, systematic exploration program, experienced management team, and prime location near the 24Moz Hemlo mine, E2Gold has the key ingredients necessary for discovery of a major new gold deposit. Pending drill results could prove to be an important catalyst for the stock if high-grade mineralization is intersected, especially at depth below the known Mckinnon resource. E2Gold offers investors upside potential through exploration success in a proven gold region that is being unlocked by modern exploration techniques. With a tight capital structure and large underexplored land holding, E2Gold is a stock to watch in the Canadian junior gold sector.
