Outcrop Silver Confirms 1.6-Kilometre Continuity Along Aguilar Vein, Reports New High-Grade Structures

Outcrop Silver confirms 1.6 km of continuity along the Aguilar vein system and reports high-grade intercepts from two newly identified structures at its Santa Ana project.

  • Drilling confirmed continuity of the principal Aguilar and Aguilar N structures and returned high-grade intercepts from two newly identified structures, Aguilar NEW and Aguilar NEE, in the northern part of the target.
  • The lead intercept came from Aguilar NEW: 0.80 metres estimated true width (ETW) grading 1,405 grams per tonne silver-equivalent (AgEq), including 0.23 m at 2,820 g/t AgEq.
  • Aguilar N returned 0.49 m ETW at 1,374 g/t AgEq and 1.27 m ETW at 716 g/t AgEq, supporting continuity along the northern part of the target.
  • With these results, the principal Aguilar structure has now been traced continuously for approximately 1.6 kilometres along strike.
  • Step-out drilling in the southern extension confirmed continuity of the principal Aguilar structure, though no significant intercepts were returned from those holes.

Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (TSX: OCG, OTCQX: OCGSF, DE: MRG) is a Canada-based exploration and development company focused on its Santa Ana project, a silver district in Colombia. The project spans over 28,000 hectares within the Mariquita District and includes a 17-kilometre mineralized corridor that is fully permitted. Santa Ana holds a maiden mineral resource estimate, completed in 2023, of an indicated 24.2 million ounces silver-equivalent at 614 grams per tonne and an inferred 13.5 million ounces at 435 grams per tonne, spread across seven vein systems. The company's exploration is led by Carlos Torres, Vice President of Exploration, who serves as the qualified person for the project under NI 43-101 standards.

High-Grade Results From New Aguilar NEW and NEE Structures

Recent drilling at Aguilar focused on the northern part of the target, near where the structure is interpreted to meet the Jimenez trend. The program confirmed continuity of the existing Aguilar and Aguilar N structures and intersected two mineralized zones not previously identified, Aguilar NEW and Aguilar NEE. Both new structures have since been confirmed by multiple drill holes.

Assay results from Aguilar NEW included 0.80 m ETW grading 1,405 g/t AgEq (1,140 g/t silver and 3.0 g/t gold) in hole DH604, including a higher-grade section of 0.23 m at 2,820 g/t AgEq. Additional intercepts in the same structure included 0.60 m ETW at 1,660 g/t AgEq in DH621 and 0.76 m ETW at 1,157 g/t AgEq in DH568. Silver-equivalent, or AgEq, combines the value of silver and gold found in a single sample into one figure, using set metal prices, so that results from different holes can be compared on a common basis.

Drilling also intersected several smaller mineralized structures branching from the main system, described in the release as splays, which added information on how mineralization is structurally controlled within Aguilar.

Rob Bruggeman, President and Chief Executive Officer, said:

"These results continue to strengthen our confidence in the scale and continuity of the Aguilar system. Aguilar NEW and Aguilar NEE appear to represent newly recognized vein structures that warrant continued follow-up exploration."

Structural Continuity Confirmed Along 1.6 Kilometres of the Aguilar System

In addition to the new structures, drilling confirmed that the previously known Aguilar N structure remains continuous within the area tested. Hole DH596 returned 0.49 m ETW grading 1,374 g/t AgEq, while DH592 returned 1.27 m ETW grading 716 g/t AgEq. These results support continuity of mineralization along the northern part of the target.

With this data included, the principal Aguilar structure has now been traced continuously for approximately 1.6 kilometres along strike, one of the longest mineralized trends defined so far at Santa Ana. Separately, step-out drilling completed in the southern extension of the target confirmed that the principal structure continues in that direction, although the holes drilled there did not return significant intercepts.

Confirming continuity over a defined distance provides a basis for estimating how much of a vein system can reliably be classified as a mineral resource.

President and CEO, Rob Bruggeman added:

"The Aguilar vein system has now been drilled for 1.6 km along strike and has identified additional mineralized structures in the northern part of the target. The development of Aguilar NEW and Aguilar NEE, together with multiple mineralized secondary structures, highlights the growing structural footprint of Aguilar and further supports its importance within the Santa Ana district."

Incorporation of Results Into Updated Santa Ana Resource Estimate

The assay results from this program, including those from Aguilar NEW and Aguilar NEE, will be incorporated into Outcrop Silver's geological interpretations and its next mineral resource estimate for Santa Ana, which is currently underway. This update will build on the 2023 maiden resource estimate, which covered seven vein systems: Santa Ana, La Porfia, El Dorado, Paraiso, Las Maras, Los Naranjos, and La Isabela.

Since the start of the current drill campaign, the company has confirmed mineralization in six vein systems at Santa Ana: Aguilar, Jimenez, La Ye, Los Mangos, Guadual, and Morena. Results from these programs are being incorporated into updated geological models that will support both ongoing drilling and the upcoming resource update.

A mineral resource estimate converts drill results into a standardised figure for tonnes and grade, which forms the basis used to assess a project's scale. The inclusion of the Aguilar results, alongside data from the other five vein systems tested during the campaign, means the upcoming update will reflect exploration activity across multiple parts of the Santa Ana property rather than a single target.

Milestones and Next Steps

Outcrop Silver's next disclosed milestone is the release of its updated mineral resource estimate for Santa Ana, which will incorporate the Aguilar results detailed in this release together with data from the five other vein systems tested during the current campaign. The company has stated that ongoing drilling and geological modelling will continue to support this update as it progresses.
