AMPOL LIMITED Company Overview

Ampol Limited is an integrated oil refining and marketing company focused on transport fuels in Australia and New Zealand. Headquartered in Sydney, Ampol operates an oil refinery in Australia located at Lytton in Brisbane. The company has a distribution, storage, and retail network across Australia and New Zealand selling petrol, diesel, jet fuel, lubricants, and other products.

Ampol generates earnings across four operating platforms – fuels and infrastructure, convenience retail, international sales, and its recent acquisition of New Zealand’s Z Energy. The Lytton refinery has nameplate production capacity of approximately 110 million barrels per year. Ampol has wholesale marketing rights for Caltex fuels and lubricants across Australia. The company's retail network incorporates over 1,800 sites in Australia and over 500 sites in New Zealand.

In May 2022, Ampol completed the transformational acquisition of New Zealand based Z Energy, adding circa 20% market share in the New Zealand transport fuels market. The acquisition delivers scale, international growth and retail capability including the leading Z and Caltex fuel brands. The company has combined fuels sales volume over 14 billion litres per year.

Ampol is committed to the energy transition and evolving its business model and customer offer over time. The company has commenced rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and is exploring opportunities in sustainable transport fuels. Ampol's operations generate strong cash flow which underpins shareholder returns. The company has distributed over A$150 million to shareholders in fully franked dividends over the last three years.
