Antero Resources Corporation is an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in the development, production, exploration, and acquisition of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and oil reserves in the Appalachian Basin. The company is focused on unconventional resources in the Marcellus Shale in West Virginia and the Utica Shale in Ohio.
Antero has established itself as a leading low-cost operator in Appalachia with premium firm transportation access to favorable markets. For 2023, Antero estimates it will produce 3.39-3.41 billion cubic feet equivalent per day comprised of 2.22-2.24 bcf/d of natural gas and 194,000-195,500 barrels per day of liquids (NGLs and oil).
The company owns and operates midstream gas gathering, processing and fractionation assets as well as water handling and treatment infrastructure in the Appalachian Basin through its 29% interest in Antero Midstream Corporation. This midstream exposure provides Antero operational reliability and visibility.
Overall, Antero Resources has a massive acreage position of over 512,000 net acres in Appalachia containing premium Marcellus and Utica inventory. With a strong balance sheet and fully integrated midstream infrastructure, the company is focused on driving capital-efficient growth to return increasing amounts of capital back to its shareholders.
