Itafos Inc. is a pure-play phosphate and specialty fertilizer company. Itafos owns and operates Conda, a vertically integrated phosphate fertilizer business located in Idaho, USA. Conda can produce approximately 345,000 tonnes per year of P2O5 content across several phosphate-based products including monoammonium phosphate (MAP), MAP with micronutrients (MAP+), superphosphoric acid (SPA), merchant grade phosphoric acid (MGA), ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and hydrofluorosilicic acid (HFSA).
Conda's mineral reserves at the Rasmussen Valley and Lanes Creek mines total 13.1 million tonnes at an average grade of 26.6% P2O5 while The Husky 1 / North Dry Ridge (H1 / NDR) project has measured and indicated mineral resources of 34.0 million tonnes at 24.9% P2O5 with 0.5 million tonnes of inferred resources at 24.7% P2O5. Itafos’ largest shareholders are CL Fertilizer Holdings LLC and Pala Investments Ltd., which own 66% and 6% respectively.
The company has a market capitalization of approximately C$383 million as of April 2023. In addition to Conda, Itafos owns Arraias, a vertically integrated phosphate fertilizer business in Brazil, as well as several non-operational phosphate and specialty fertilizer projects at various stages located in Brazil and Guinea-Bissau.
