Mosaic Company Overview

The Mosaic Company is one of the world's largest producers and marketers of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients. Mosaic is a publicly traded company with a market capitalization of approximately $12 billion as of November 2022.

Mosaic mines, produces and distributes millions of tonnes annually of potash and phosphates from six production facilities in Florida, Louisiana, Canada, and Brazil. The company also has a strategic equity investment in a phosphate rock mine in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mosaic's crop nutrients are used globally to help farmers improve food production in a sustainable manner.

The Mosaic Company sees solid agricultural fundamentals driving fertilizer demand including strong biofuels consumption and relatively low grain inventory levels. The company is also progressing with a potential Purified Phosphoric Acid plant in Louisiana targeting the lithium-iron-phosphate battery market.

In the third quarter of 2023, Mosaic generated revenues of $3.5 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $594 million. With the continuation of its capital returns program to shareholders, Mosaic sees the recent softening of crop nutrient prices stabilizing into 2024 with robust demand supporting a recovery.
