Stanmore Company Overview

Stanmore Resources is a metallurgical coal producer focused on operating high quality, low cost coal assets in Bowen and Surat basins. The company produces a mix of coking coal, PCI, and thermal coal. Stanmore Resources is in the production stage, having three operating mines: the Isaac Plains Complex, the South Walker Creek Mine, and the Poitrel Mine.

On the first half of 2023, the company operated with cash flow of US$395 million used to support significant deleveraging of 43% of the acquisition financing facility and underlying EBITDA of US$650  million with strong margins bolstered by high prices. 

In addition to its operating assets, Stanmore Resources has a portfolio of brownfield and greenfield growth options focused in the Bowen Basin area which includes underground projects, open-cut extensions at existing operations, and new open-cut proposals on recently acquired exploration tenements. The development timeline for these growth projects ranges from feasibility studies to construction and operations.
