Bonterra Resources Completes Surveys & Commences Drilling to Advance Exploration at Desmaraisville Properties

Bonterra Resources leverages centralized milling infrastructure and regional land package in Quebec's Abitibi Greenstone Belt to systematically explore 1.24M oz gold deposit and regional targets, offering investors exposure to resource expansion and new discovery upside.

  • Bonterra Resources is a Canadian gold exploration company with 1.24 million ounces of gold in measured and indicated resources and 1.78 million ounces of gold in inferred resources
  • The company recently completed airborne gravity and ground IP surveys on its 100% owned Desmaraisville properties to generate exploration targets
  • One drill rig has been mobilized at the Desmaraisville South property to test for extensions of zinc, lead and silver mineralization near the old Coniagas mine
  • The surveys and drilling aim to identify new targets for gold and base metals to prioritize for future exploration campaigns
  • For investors, Bonterra offers leverage to exploration upside through its large gold resource base and prospective regional land package centered around its milling facility

About Bonterra Resources

Bonterra Resources Inc. (TSX-V: BTR) is a Canadian exploration company focused on advancing its portfolio of gold projects located in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Quebec surrounding its central milling facility. With a measured and indicated gold resource base of 1.24 million ounces and an inferred resource of 1.78 million ounces, Bonterra offers investors exposure to a significant gold resource base as well as upside potential from expanding resources through drill targeting.

Recently, Bonterra has redirected exploration efforts towards its 100% owned Desmaraisville properties after entering into a joint venture agreement with Osisko Mining on its other properties. Located near Bonterra’s milling infrastructure, the Desmaraisville properties provide extensive regional exploration potential for gold and base metals that the company is advancing through recent geophysical surveys and ongoing drilling.

Surveys Identify New Exploration Targets

To assist in exploration efforts, Bonterra has completed airborne gravity surveys over its entire land package as well as initiated ground IP surveys over high priority areas. These surveys provide geophysical data that can pinpoint areas of alteration or mineralization for follow up exploration.

Specifically, the airborne gravity survey consisted of over 1,500 line-kilometers flown at a tight 200 meter spacing. Preliminary results have already been received, with final interpretations expected by year end that will form the basis of future drill targeting.

Additionally, an 85 line-kilometer IP survey has commenced at the Desmaraisville South property, covering existing gold showings and historical resources. This survey will identify new targets near known mineralized areas to prioritize for advancement.

The combination of surveys provides comprehensive geophysical coverage over highly prospective geology using proven techniques to highlight promising areas for gold and base metals.

Drilling Tests Historical Mines and New Targets

In tandem with the ongoing surveys, Bonterra has mobilized drill rigs to follow up identified geophysical anomalies and test extensions of historical mineralization.

Currently, one drill rig is testing down dip and along strike continuity of zinc-lead-silver mineralization near the past producing Coniagas mine. This program consists of approximately 900 meters of drilling aiming to confirm the continuation of mineralization identified during recent 3D modeling. After completing the drilling, downhole EM surveys will be conducted to identify additional massive sulfide targets at depth. Historically, the Coniagas mine produced over 700,000 tonnes grading 10.8% zinc, 1% lead and 183 g/t silver, showcasing the high-grade base metal potential.

As results from the surveys are interpreted, additional drilling will follow up targets across the prospective regional land package. This will provide ongoing news flow regarding exploration efforts as Bonterra leverages its centralized mill infrastructure to unlock further value across its asset base.

Advancing Towards Development

The recent surveys, drilling, and partnership with Osisko Mining signify Bonterra’s ambitions to advance its sizable gold inventory towards production. By conducting staged exploration and evaluation work to expand resources, Bonterra is positioning itself to take advantage of stronger gold markets by having drill targets ready for advancement.

Additionally, the joint venture with Osisko de-risks a portion of Bonterra’s portfolio through funded advancement of the Urban-Barry properties while allowing Bonterra shareholders to retain exposure to the projects’ upside. This increases potential funding available for broader exploration initiatives across the prospective regional land package.

For investors, Bonterra offers an intriguing leveraged play on the gold market with exploration upside. The company’s 1.24 million ounce indicated gold resource and sizable 1.78 million ounce inferred resource provides a strong base to support growth through regional exploration. With drilling underway, survey results pending, and a well-funded partner advancing primary deposits, Bonterra has multiple avenues to create value for shareholders as it systematically explores and de-risks its assets.

As results flow in from these regional exploration initiatives, further insight will be provided into the potential scale and scope for resource expansion across Bonterra’s assets. For investors seeking leveraged gold exposure with resource upside, Bonterra presents a compelling opportunity.

Conclusion

With a sizable gold resource base located proximate to its centralized milling infrastructure combined with regional exploration potential, Bonterra Resources offers investors exposure to resource expansion and new discovery upside. Recent geophysics surveys, ongoing drilling, and a joint venture partnership enhance Bonterra’s capacity to systematically explore its properties to identify and advance new targets. As these results unfold, investors have the opportunity to position themselves in a well-endowed exploration company with leverage to higher gold prices and expanding resources through the drill bit. For risk tolerant investors, Bonterra warrants consideration as it leverages its infrastructure and broad property package to unlock further value across its Quebec based assets.
