Cabral Gold Extends Central Deposit Mineralization Ahead of Its Year-End Resource Update

Cabral Gold extends the Central gold deposit at Cuiú Cuiú, with 8.2 meters at 2.50 g/t gold, ahead of its year-end 2026 resource update.

  • Cabral Gold reported results from 5 additional diamond holes at the northern end of the Central deposit and the Central North target, 400 meters north-northwest of Central, in the Cuiú Cuiú gold district in Brazil.
  • A hole at the northern end of Central returned 8.2 meters at 2.50 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 149.7 meters depth, including 0.5 meters at 21.27 g/t gold.
  • At Central North, a hole returned 18.0 meters at 0.72 g/t gold from 145.9 meters depth and verified that gold mineralization and structure continue northwest through untested ground, potentially connecting to the Mutum target.
  • Results are pending on 28 diamond holes and 69 reverse circulation holes, and drilling progress has been slower than expected because of rig maintenance issues and longer laboratory turnaround times.
  • Cabral is targeting an NI 43-101 compliant resource update covering 6 deposits at Cuiú Cuiú by year-end 2026.

Company Overview

Cabral Gold (TSXV: CBR | OTCQX: CBGZF) is a junior resource company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of gold properties in Brazil, holding a 100% interest in the Cuiú Cuiú gold district in the Tapajós Region of Pará state, northern Brazil. Three main gold deposits at Cuiú Cuiú host resources of 12.29 million tonnes at 1.14 grams per tonne gold (450,200 ounces) in harder, deeper rock and 13.56 million tonnes at 0.50 grams per tonne gold (216,182 ounces) in near-surface material, which the company classifies as Indicated. A further 13.63 million tonnes at 1.04 grams per tonne gold (455,100 ounces) in deeper rock and 6.4 million tonnes at 0.34 grams per tonne gold (70,569 ounces) in near-surface material are classified at a lower confidence level, known as Inferred. These estimates are based on independent technical reports dated October 12, 2022, October 21, 2024, and July 29, 2025. The company has completed its first gold pour and first doré sale at its Phase 1 gold-in-oxide heap leach operation, targeting commercial gold production in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Central Drilling Extends the Deposit's Northern End to Depth

Cabral Gold completed 5 diamond holes in the Central area. Of these, 3 tested the down-dip extension at the northern end of the Central deposit, 1 of the 2 main deposits modeled in the last global resource estimate at Cuiú Cuiú, and 2 tested the Central North target. All 3 holes at the northern end cut multiple zones of mineralization and extended the main mineralized zone to depth. They returned:

  • 8.2 meters at 2.50 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 149.7 meters depth, including 0.5 meters at 21.27 g/t gold, in one hole that also cut 16.3 meters at 0.36 g/t gold from 86.3 meters depth, including 0.5 meters at 7.08 g/t gold
  • 10.4 meters at 0.45 g/t gold from 173.0 meters depth in a second hole
  • 13.0 meters at 0.41 g/t gold from 96.0 meters depth in a third hole

True widths may be 50% of the drilled intercepts.

Central North Extends Toward the Mutum Target

Central North lies 400 meters north-northwest of Central and approximately 1 kilometer southeast of Mutum, where drilling reported on June 23, 2026 returned 20.7 meters at 1.57 g/t gold. A Central North hole returned 18.0 meters at 0.72 g/t gold from 145.9 meters depth, including 1.9 meters at 3.11 g/t gold and 0.7 meters at 5.73 g/t gold. A second hole returned 3.0 meters at 0.30 g/t gold from 149.4 meters depth and 1.0 meter at 1.32 g/t gold from 156.4 meters depth.

The 18.0-meter intercept confirms mineralization at depth and verifies that gold mineralization and structure continue northwest through an untested area that may connect to Mutum. Central North is offset from the main northwest trend that controls Central, and the exact nature of that offset is still unknown. Historic holes in the intervening area returned low-grade intercepts, including 24 meters at 0.25 g/t gold and 20.3 meters at 0.24 g/t gold; the second ended in mineralization at 492.25 meters depth at 0.32 g/t gold. Cabral plans additional drilling to test Central North and its continuity with Mutum.

Vice President, Exploration of Cabral Gold, Elton Pereira, described the extent of the trend that hosts Central:

"The Central – PDM trend within the Cuiú Cuiú district extends for at least 5km and currently hosts two of the six known gold deposits identified to date within the district. The trend contains several excellent targets outside of the known deposits and is a high priority as we seek to build on the existing resource inventory within this part of the district."

Drilling Update & Pending Results

Diamond drilling is in progress at Jerimum Cima, Machichie, and the Mutum target. Reverse circulation (RC) drilling is also ongoing at Jerimum Cima and the Machichie Main deposit.

Progress on the exploration program has been slower than expected because of recent drill rig maintenance issues and laboratory turnaround times that have increased significantly in recent weeks. Results are pending on 28 diamond holes and 69 RC holes.

Restricted Share Units Granted to an Officer

Cabral Gold granted 500,000 restricted share units to an officer of the company. The units vest one year from the date of grant.

Next Steps

Cabral is targeting an NI 43-101 compliant resource update of all gold-in-oxide and primary gold resources at Cuiú Cuiú by year-end 2026. Mineral resources are being updated for the Central, MG, JB, Machichie Main, PDM, and Jerimum Cima deposits, and further drilling is planned at Central North to test continuity with Mutum.

Pereira tied the Central North and Mutum drilling to the district resource update:

"These results bode well for the updated resource estimate for the Cuiú Cuiú district which is expected later this year."

FAQs (AI-Generated)

What did Cabral Gold report from the Central area drilling? +

Cabral reported results from 5 diamond holes at the northern end of the Central deposit and the Central North target. A hole at the northern end of Central returned 8.2 meters at 2.50 g/t gold from 149.7 meters depth, including 0.5 meters at 21.27 g/t gold.

Where is Central North relative to Central and Mutum? +

Central North is 400 meters north-northwest of Central and approximately 1 kilometer southeast of Mutum. Drilling there verified that mineralization and structure continue northwest through untested ground potentially connecting to Mutum.

Why has drilling progress slowed? +

Cabral attributes the slower progress to recent drill rig maintenance issues and laboratory turnaround times that have increased in recent weeks. Results are pending on 28 diamond holes and 69 RC holes.

When is the Cuiú Cuiú resource update targeted? +

Cabral is targeting an NI 43-101 compliant resource update of all gold-in-oxide and primary gold resources by year-end 2026. It covers the Central, MG, JB, Machichie Main, PDM, and Jerimum Cima deposits.

How do the reported intercepts relate to true widths? +

Cabral states that true widths may be 50% of the drilled intercepts.
