Marimaca Copper Updates Exploration Program at Marimaca Oxide Deposit

Marimaca Copper Corp. (TSX: MARI) is a copper exploration and development company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing new copper projects in Chile. The company recently announced results from its five drill hole diamond drilling exploration program at the eastern margin of its Marimaca Oxide Deposit (MOD) project in Chile.
The drilling program encountered challenges due to orientation from existing drill pads along known structures at the MOD. However, Marimaca believes the results provide valuable learnings for future exploration of the deeper sulphide potential at Marimaca.
Highlights from the drilling program include:
- Intersections of oxide and mixed/enriched copper mineralization in 4 holes, interpreted as near-surface oxidized expressions of high-grade mineralized structures.
- Hole MAD-25 intersected 56m at 0.40% CuT, including 24m at 0.63% CuT of secondary and primary sulphides.
- Evidence of alteration assemblages and rock types comparable to the promising sulphide discovery hole MAD-22.
- 12m at 1.0% CuT chalcopyrite mineralization intersected in hole MAD-27.
The results continue to support Marimaca's exploration model for a significant sulphide system as the feeder source for the large-scale oxidized mineralization at the MOD. Marimaca believes the sulphide potential remains untested and plans to incorporate learnings from this campaign into a revised approach for future deeper drilling.
With copper demand projected to increase driven by electric vehicles and renewable energy, Marimaca offers leverage to higher copper prices through its large-scale exploration projects in Chile. Investors interested in copper exposure can consider Marimaca stock. The company plans to provide updates as it continues developing its projects.
