Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc is a London-listed oil and gas company focused on the development of the Guercif permit onshore Morocco. The 7,269 sq.km. license contains multiple natural gas prospects located in the northeast of the country near the Algerian border.
In 2021, Predator's MOU-1 exploration discovered a significant overpressured gas resource in the Moulouya Fan sands of Miocene age. Contingent resources for this play are estimated at 295 billion cubic feet (BCF). The MOU-2 well drilled in 2022 further de-risked the presence of thicker reservoir sands across the prospect.
Predator is now planning to drill the MOU-3 and MOU-4 wells in mid-2023 to establish commercial flow rates to support a low-capital compressed natural gas (CNG) development. Initial nameplate capacity could be up to 34 million standard cubic feet per day, supplying gas-hungry industrial markets.
With seasoned management possessing proven Moroccan experience and minimal spending requirements before the first cash flows, Predator offers a near-term developmental gas play with compelling economics. Successful testing this year could propel the company towards a targeted £100-200 million valuation.
