Andrada Mining Reports Record Uis Tin Output and Progress at Lithium Ridge and Brandberg West

Record tin production at Uis, a completed 16,500 metre drill programme at Lithium Ridge and an ore sorting milestone at Brandberg West mark Andrada Mining's first quarter of FY2027.
- Uis Mine recorded contained tin production of 286 tonnes for the quarter, up 20% year over year, with tin concentrate production reaching 473 tonnes, up 16%
- Plant throughput at Uis increased to 154 tonnes per hour during the quarter
- The Lithium Ridge drilling programme of 16,500 metres across 143 holes has been completed, with assays from 34 holes returning grades of up to 3.46% Li2O near surface
- Brandberg West ore sorting test work indicates potential mass reduction of over 90%, with grade uplifts of up to seven times for tin, six times for tungsten and four times for copper
- Andrada secured strategic funding backing from SQM, ACAM, the European Investment Bank, Bank Windhoek and the Development Bank of Namibia, and appointed a UK based Commercial Development Specialist and VSA Capital as joint corporate broker
Andrada Mining Limited (AIM: ATM, OTCQB: ATMTF) is a Namibia-based producer of tin, tantalum and lithium, with additional exploration interests in tungsten and copper. The company's principal asset is the Uis mine, alongside the Lithium Ridge and Brandberg West projects located in Namibia's Erongo region.
Record Q1 FY2027 Tin Production at Uis With 20% Year-Over-Year Increase
Andrada's Uis mine recorded contained tin production of 286 tonnes for the quarter ended 31 May 2026, an increase of 20% compared with the same quarter a year earlier. Tin concentrate production reached 473 tonnes, up 16% year over year. Plant throughput increased to 154 tonnes per hour during the quarter.
The company said elevated tin prices are expected to support cash generation, and that strategic funding has been secured to progress an ore sorting expansion at Uis.
Chief Executive Officer Anthony Viljoen said:
"Q1 FY2027 represents one of the most successful quarters in Andrada's evolution. At Uis, we delivered record quarterly tin production and continue to demonstrate the operational leverage embedded within our processing platform. Importantly this performance has been achieved against a backdrop of sustained strength in tin prices, positioning the operation to generate increasing levels of cash flow."
Completed 16,500-Metre Lithium Ridge Drill Programme With Grades Up to 3.46% Li2O
At Lithium Ridge, Andrada completed a drilling programme totalling 16,500 metres across 143 holes, carried out under its earn in agreement with SQM Australia, a subsidiary of Chilean lithium producer SQM. Assay results from 34 holes have returned lithium intersections of up to 3.46% Li2O, a measure of lithium oxide concentration in the rock, from near surface depths, alongside associated tin and tantalum mineralisation.
Near surface mineralisation is typically associated with lower cost extraction than deeper deposits. The presence of tin and tantalum alongside lithium within the same drill targets means the project could support more than one saleable product from a single resource area.
Assay analysis of the remaining drill holes is expected to be completed in the third quarter of FY2027.
Brandberg West Ore Sorting Breakthrough Achieving Over 90% Mass Reduction
Andrada has begun an extensive drilling and metallurgical test work programme at Brandberg West. Initial ore sorting trials on historical samples indicate that more than 90% of waste material could be rejected before ore reaches the processing plant, with grade uplifts of up to seven times for tin, six times for tungsten and four times for copper.
Ore sorting separates mineralised rock from waste material ahead of full processing. A reduction in the volume of material requiring milling can lower both processing and transport costs, supporting the company's identification of a potential low capital expenditure route to production at the project. Andrada noted the results also position Brandberg West to benefit from current tungsten prices.
Viljoen said:
"The ability to reject more than 90% of waste material while materially upgrading tin, tungsten and copper grades points to a potentially lower-cost and accelerated development pathway."
Outlook
Andrada's growth pipeline remains funded through strategic backing from SQM, ACAM, the European Investment Bank, Bank Windhoek and the Development Bank of Namibia. Assay analysis of the remaining Lithium Ridge drill holes is expected to be completed in the third quarter of FY2027, while drilling and metallurgical test work continue at Brandberg West. The company has also appointed a UK based Commercial Development Specialist and VSA Capital as joint corporate broker.
