About Li-FT Power
Li-FT Power is a mineral exploration company engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing lithium pegmatite projects in Canada. The company's flagship project is the Yellowknife Lithium Project, located just outside Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The project covers numerous lithium-bearing pegmatite dykes that have been mapped at surface. Li-FT Power also holds three early-stage lithium exploration properties in Quebec, as well as the Cali lithium project in the Northwest Territories.
Recap of Recent Drill Results
Yellowknife Lithium Project
On November 14, 2023, Li-FT Power reported results from five drill holes at the Yellowknife Lithium Project. Drilling intersected significant widths of lithium mineralization at the BIG East and Fi Southwest pegmatites, highlighted by:
- 22 m at 1.35% Li2O at BIG East
- 22 m at 0.82% Li2O at BIG East, including 10 m at 1.35% Li2O
- 15 m at 1.28% Li2O at BIG East
- 14 m at 1.27% Li2O at BIG East
These results demonstrated thickness and grade continuity within the BIG East pegmatite swarm.
Additional Strong Results from Ki, Shorty and BIG East Pegmatites
On November 21, 2023, the company released another set of encouraging drill results from the Ki, Shorty and BIG East pegmatites:
- 14 m at 1.50% Li2O at the Ki pegmatite
- 10m at 1.75% Li2O at the Shorty pegmatite; plus 16 m at 1.01% Li2O
- 14 m at 1.16% Li2O and 10 m at 1.45% Li2O at the BIG East pegmatite
The 14 m at 1.50% Li2O intersect at Ki was higher-grade than previous drilling on the dyke, which had returned averages closer to 0.9% Li2O. Meanwhile, Shorty and BIG East continued to deliver strong thicknesses and grades.
More High-Grade Intercepts Encountered at Ki and Shorty
On November 28, 2023, Li-FT Power intersected more notable mineralization at the Ki and Shorty pegmatites:
- 21 m at 1.12% Li2O at Ki, including 11 m at 1.70% Li2O
- 17 m at 1.28% Li2O at Shorty; plus 16 m at 1.01% Li2O, including 5 m at 1.55% Li2O
The 21 m intercept at Ki is the widest drilled at that pegmatite to date. The northern area of Shorty appears prospective for open pit mining. Overall, the consistency of thick, high-grade drill intercepts across the project remains encouraging.
Permit Secured for Cali Lithium Project
In other recent news, Li-FT Power secured a 5-year land use permit from the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board for its 100% owned Cali lithium project on November 30, 2023. The Cali project is located within the prospective Little Nahanni Pegmatite Group in the Northwest Territories. It sits adjacent to the Hidden Lake lithium project owned by Far Resources.
The land use permit grants Li-FT Power the flexibility to establish exploration infrastructure and conduct diamond drilling and other exploration work over the next five years. The company can now scale up exploration activities at Cali as warranted by results.
Conclusion
With a large, drilled flagship lithium project and permitted second lithium project in a proven Canadian mining jurisdiction, Li-FT Power offers investors exposure to the critical battery metal space.
The Yellowknife Lithium Project has demonstrated continuity of thick, high-grade lithium intercepts that could be amenable to open pit mining. As the company reports pending results from an additional 106 drill holes, investors can expect a steady news flow over the coming months.
Early-stage exploration upside is provided by the permitted Cali project plus three Quebec lithium properties. Supported by a tight capital structure and seasoned technical team, Li-FT Power warrants consideration among junior lithium exploration plays.
