Marimaca Copper Adds Former Codelco Executive Nicole Porcile to Board

Marimaca Copper has appointed Nicole Porcile as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Porcile is a Chilean national with more than 25 years of international experience across the mining, metals, energy, and water sectors, and she is the founder and Managing Partner of the Chilean advisory firm ANAGEA. She was previously Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Codelco, the Chilean state-owned copper producer, and before that held senior environmental and corporate affairs roles at Antofagasta Minerals.

Its principal asset is the Marimaca Oxide Deposit (MOD), and its Pampa Medina discovery lies approximately 28 kilometers to the east. ANAGEA advises major mining companies on permitting, compliance, and community relations. Porcile is a Chilean national, and she has worked as both a senior executive and a board director.

Porcile arrives with more than 25 years of international experience spread across the mining, metals, energy, and water sectors.

Her experience covers corporate governance, social and environmental risk management, responsible mining standards, regulatory engagement, community relations, human rights, and matters involving Indigenous Peoples. She holds a Master of Science in Planning (Environmental Design) from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom.

Codelco & Antofagasta Minerals Background

Porcile's senior corporate experience comes from two Chilean copper groups. She was Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Codelco, the Chilean state-owned mining company and one of the world's largest copper producers, where she served on the senior executive team.

Before Codelco, Porcile held senior environmental and corporate affairs roles at Antofagasta Minerals at both group and operational levels, including at Minera Los Pelambres. She helped shape the Antofagasta Group's sustainability strategy and supported the development of its major growth projects.
