Omai Gold Reports Drill Results at Wenot Including 11.48 g/t Gold Over 10.2 Metres

Eight drill holes return multiple gold zones at central Wenot with intercepts spanning 200-metre vertical depth range

  • Hole 25ODD-150 returned 11.48 g/t gold over 10.2 metres and 23.79 g/t gold over 3.8 metres in separate zones
  • Six drill intercepts at section 304980E show gold mineralisation in the CQFP Zone from 200 metres to 400 metres vertical depth
  • 2026 drilling to target resource expansion and upgrading of Inferred resources at Wenot
  • Updated Mineral Resource Estimate incorporating 31 holes drilled after August 2025 expected in Q1 2026
  • Three drill rigs currently operating at Wenot, with five rigs available on site

Omai Gold Mines Corp. (TSXV: OMG) (OTCQB: OMGGF) is a Canada-based exploration and development company focused on two orogenic gold deposits at its 100%-owned Omai Gold Project in Guyana, South America. In August 2025, the company reported a resource estimate for the Wenot deposit totalling 970,000 ounces Indicated at 1.46 g/t gold and 3,717,000 ounces Inferred at 1.82 g/t gold. The combined global resource at Omai, including the Wenot and Gilt Creek deposits, stands at 2,121,000 ounces Indicated and 4,382,000 ounces Inferred. The project includes existing infrastructure such as an on-site airstrip and road access. Historical mining at Omai between 1993 and 2005 produced 3.7 million ounces of gold.

High-Grade Gold Drill Results From Eight Holes at Central Wenot

Omai Gold reported assay results from eight drill holes completed during the 2025 programme at the Wenot deposit. Hole 25ODD-150 intersected 11.48 g/t gold over 10.2 metres (including 28.54 g/t gold over 4.0 metres) and 10.65 g/t gold over 9.0 metres (including 23.79 g/t gold over 3.8 metres) in separate zones. The current Indicated resource at Wenot averages 1.46 g/t gold.

The 2025 drilling programme at Omai totalled 79 diamond drill holes (35,300 metres), with 31 holes completed at Wenot following the August 2025 Mineral Resource Estimate. These results will be included in an updated resource estimate currently underway. Additional results from the programme include hole 25ODD-145, which returned 4.79 g/t gold over 14.5 metres (including 32.06 g/t gold over 2.0 metres), and hole 25ODD-149, which intersected 4.63 g/t gold over 8.6 metres (including 15.95 g/t gold over 2.4 metres).

Drilling has recommenced with three of the five rigs on the property.

According to President and CEO Elaine Ellingham:

"Initially, drilling will continue at Wenot to focus on areas that have the potential to further expand the resource, including follow up on the new high grade zone discovered at the east end of Wenot (11.07 g/t Au over 14.7m) in late 2025."

CQFP Zone Vertical Continuity Demonstration From 200m to 400m Depth

The drilling programme documented vertical continuity within the Central Quartz Feldspar Porphyry (CQFP) zone, a geological structure located at the contact between sedimentary rocks to the south and volcanic rocks to the north. At section 304980E in central Wenot, six drill intercepts showed gold mineralisation ranging from vertical depths of 200 metres to 400 metres below surface.

The six intercepts at the CQFP zone on this section are: 1.65 g/t gold over 12.1 metres (hole 145W2), 13.54 g/t gold over 13.3 metres (hole 145W), 4.79 g/t gold over 14.5 metres (hole 145), 4.05 g/t gold over 20.6 metres (hole 12WED11), 3.13 g/t gold over 43.0 metres (hole 24ODD-078), and 2.31 g/t gold over 24.6 metres (hole 25ODD-107). The drilling strategy involved reducing spacing between holes to better outline the continuity of gold zones.

Areas between 300 and 450 metres depth remain open for additional drilling.

2026 Drilling Programme Focus on Resource Expansion and Upgrading Inferred Resources

Omai Gold's 2026 exploration programme will focus on expanding the Wenot deposit and upgrading Inferred resources to the Indicated category. With three drill rigs currently operational, the company is targeting several areas including the high-grade zone at the eastern extent of Wenot, where late 2025 drilling intersected 11.07 g/t gold over 14.7 metres.

The programme will continue testing between 300 and 450 metres depth, where zones remain open along strike and down-dip. The company will also conduct infill drilling to upgrade resources. Wenot currently hosts 3,717,000 ounces in the Inferred category at 1.82 g/t gold. Inferred resources cannot be included in mineral reserve calculations under Canadian mining standards.

An updated Mineral Resource Estimate and Preliminary Economic Assessment are planned for the first half of 2026. The updated studies will incorporate the Wenot open-pit deposit and the adjacent Gilt Creek underground deposit. The April 2024 baseline Preliminary Economic Assessment contemplated an open-pit development scenario and included less than 30% of the current Mineral Resource Estimate.

Next Steps and Milestones

The updated Mineral Resource Estimate, expected in Q1 2026, will incorporate 31 drill holes completed after the August 2025 estimate. An updated Preliminary Economic Assessment is scheduled for the first half of 2026, which will include both the Wenot open-pit and Gilt Creek underground deposits.

Three drill rigs are currently operating with five available on site. The 2026 programme will focus on resource expansion at the eastern and western extensions, depth exploration between 300 and 450 metres, and infill drilling to upgrade Inferred resources. Additional exploration will test known gold occurrences for near-surface satellite deposits.
