Power Metallic Mines Inc. (TSXV: PNPN) is a Canadian exploration company focused on the Nisk Project Area, which contains the Nisk-Lion-Tiger copper-PGE, nickel, gold and silver system. The company holds an option to earn up to 80% of the Nisk project from Critical Elements Lithium Corp., acquired in February 2021. Following the June 2025 purchase of 313 adjoining claims from Li-FT Power, the company now controls approximately 212.86 square kilometres of prospective ground. The company also maintains a 50% ownership position in Chilean Metals Inc., which holds land packages in British Columbia and Chile, and owns 100% of Power Metallic Arabia's Jabul Baudan exploration licence covering over 200 square kilometres in Saudi Arabia's JabalSaid Belt.
High-Grade Assay Results & Lion Zone Drilling
The Lion Zone drilling programme returned five completed holes from spring 2025 campaign, with results showing copper equivalent grades ranging from 1.01% to 15.45% CuEq across various intersection lengths. Hole PML-25-015 intersected 28.0 metres grading 4.28% CuEq, including higher-grade zones of 1.90 metres at 17.68% CuEq and 3.4 metres at 15.45% CuEq. Hole PML-25-020 returned 22.66 metres of 4.57% CuEq mineralisation, including 6.05 metres grading 9.70% CuEq.
The drilling programme included one plunge extension hole and four in-fill holes designed to test continuity at approximately 50-metre spacing. Hole PML-25-014, testing plunge extension approximately 100 metres west and 175 metres down-plunge from known mineralisation, intersected 9.44 metres of 1.10% CuEq. The in-fill drilling confirmed Lion Zone continuity in all tested holes whilst documenting grade and thickness variability across the deposit area.
Copper equivalent calculations incorporate gold, silver, copper, palladium, platinum and nickel values based on specified metal prices and 80% recovery assumptions. The results demonstrate the presence of polymetallic mineralisation within the Lion Zone, with true widths estimated at 85% of reported downhole lengths based on current geological models.
Summer Drill Programme Completion & Scope
The summer drilling campaign encompassed 34 holes across five target areas within the expanded land package. Lion zone drilling totalled 9,774 metres, comprising 3,929 metres of extensional drilling and 5,845 metres of in-fill drilling for resource estimation purposes. Additional drilling included 2,067 metres at the Tiger area, 3,575 metres at the Nisk deposit, and 1,833 metres of regional exploration on newly acquired ground.
Thirteen holes received Bore Hole Electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys as part of the programme's geophysical component. The regional exploration drilling targeted airborne EM anomalies identified through the recently completed VTEM property-wide survey. All regional exploration holes intersected sulphide-bearing structures, confirming the presence of conductors identified through geophysical surveys.
The programme required construction of drill mat roads with bridged stream crossings to provide access to the Lion area for larger drilling equipment. This infrastructure development enables year-round access and eliminates seasonal drilling restrictions. The summer programme concluded on September 15th for the seasonal moose break, with drilling scheduled to resume in the coming weeks.
Land Package Expansion & Fall Programme Plans
On September 3rd, 2025, the Quebec government published expanded mining rights in close proximity to the Lion Zone discovery through lifting of previous Hydro-Quebec restrictions. The process provides automatic access to previously restricted land for existing claim holders, with additional parcels available through public bidding. Power Metallic submitted bids for strategic additional ground with results expected within 30-90 days.
The land expansion was facilitated through cooperation with the James Bay Cree partnership and Hydro-Quebec to remove restrictions on areas no longer required for utility purposes. CEO Terry Lynch commented regarding the land acquisition process:
"We were very excited to get this ground. Honestly as important as our drilling program was this summer, I can sincerely say our primary mission was to get more land,"
A detailed summary of the fall-winter programme is planned for release by October end, including BHEM results, land changes and drilling programme plans. The expanded land package provides additional exploration targets whilst the new access infrastructure enables deployment of larger drilling equipment for the upcoming campaign. Pending assay results include holes PML-25-017 and PML-25-019 from the Lion Zone, plus results from Tiger area, Nisk deposit and regional exploration drilling.
Conclusion & Next Steps
Power Metallic has completed its summer drilling programme with 34 holes totalling 17,250 metres across multiple target areas. The company awaits assay results from remaining holes and anticipates finalisation of the land acquisition bidding process within 30-90 days. Key upcoming milestones include release of the comprehensive fall-winter programme details by October end and resumption of drilling operations following the seasonal break. The company has secured year-round access to the Lion area and expanded its land position adjacent to the discovery zone.
