Trillion Energy Finalises M47 Seismic Tender, Acquisition Targeted for Late Summer 2026

Trillion Energy finalised a 40 km seismic program on Türkiye's M47 Block, with acquisition targeted for late summer 2026 to define future drilling targets.
Trillion Energy International Inc. has finalised the design and tender of a new 40-kilometre 2-dimensional (2D) seismic acquisition program across 3 priority exploration areas on the M47 oil block in southeastern Türkiye, following its recently completed field scouting and high-resolution gravity study. The program covers the South Lead along the southeastern boundary, the North field discovery area, including the area around the Cetinkaya-1 and Cetinkaya-2 wells drilled in 2025, and a third area. Tender documents have been prepared for the relevant contractors, with acquisition targeted for late summer 2026 over approximately 6 weeks. Upon completion of interpretation, the company is targeting the announcement of its next drilling locations.
Company Overview
Trillion Energy International Inc. (CSE: TCF | OTCQB: TRLEF | FRA: Z620) is a Canadian oil exploration company focused on Türkiye. The company has an agreement to earn up to a 29% working interest in the M47 oil exploration block located in the Cudi-Gabar petroleum province of southeastern Türkiye. The M47 Block hosts a 2C Contingent Resource of 27.6 million stock tank barrels on the North Discovery, with a total unrisked resource potential of 51.6 million stock tank barrels net to Trillion across 3 prospects, per an independent evaluation by Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd. effective December 31, 2025.
Seismic Program Overview
Trillion Energy International Inc. has finalised the design and tender of a new 40-kilometre 2D seismic acquisition program on the M47 Block in southeastern Türkiye. The program follows the company's recently completed field scouting and high-resolution gravity study, which the Company states confirmed significant fault-related structures and priority leads across the licence. The seismic lines have been positioned to tie into recent discoveries on the adjacent block.
The finalised program covers 3 priority exploration areas: the South Lead along the southeastern boundary, the North field discovery area, including the area around the Cetinkaya-1 and Cetinkaya-2 wells drilled in 2025, and a third area. Tender documents have been prepared for relevant contractors. The company states that advanced site preparation is targeted to shorten the acquisition schedule and lower program costs, with acquisition targeted for late summer 2026 over approximately a 6-week period.
President of Trillion Energy International Inc., Scott Lower, commented:
"New seismic acquisition significantly advances the commercialisation and exploration of the M47 Block forward. Some of the most important and prospective areas of the block have not been sufficiently imaged to date. Once it is interpreted, new well locations may be finalised for the upcoming drilling programs as we move one step closer to commerciality and sustained production."
M47 Block Resource Highlights
The M47 Block hosts a 2C Contingent Resource of 27,641 thousand stock tank barrels (MSTB) of light oil on the North Prospect, with an unrisked net present value at a 10% discount rate (NPV10%) of US$733.5 million, per the independent evaluation by Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd. effective December 31, 2025, prepared in accordance with National Instrument 51-101 (NI 51-101) and the Canadian Oil and Gas Evaluation Handbook (COGEH). Chapman has assigned a Chance of Development of 81% to this case.
Total unrisked resource potential across 3 prospects is 51.6 million stock tank barrels net to Trillion, comprising the 2C Contingent Resources estimate for the North Prospect and the arithmetic-average Prospective Resources estimates for the Central Prospect and the Findik Prospect, representing Trillion's 29% working interest. The North Prospect 3C estimate carries an unrisked NPV10% of US$1.18 billion, per the Chapman evaluation. The M47 Block is located approximately 11 kilometres from the Sehit Aybuke Yalcin oil field, Türkiye's largest onshore oil discovery, according to publicly available information from Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi. The block also hosts a 2025 light oil discovery at 32.4 degrees API gravity with 38 metres of net oil pay at the C-1 discovery well.
Next Steps
Seismic acquisition on the M47 Block is planned for late summer 2026, with the program expected to be completed over approximately a 6-week period. Upon completion and interpretation of the new seismic data, the Company is targeting the announcement of its next drilling locations.
