Alkane Resources Reports FY26 Resource Growth Across Björkdal, Costerfield and Tomingley

Alkane Resources FY26 update shows resource growth at Björkdal, Costerfield and Tomingley, plus a maintained 8.3 million ounce Boda-Kaiser gold resource.

  • Group Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource stands at 8.64 million ounces of contained gold, plus 1.01 million tonnes of copper and 42,000 tonnes of antimony, as at 30 June 2026.
  • All three producing assets, Björkdal, Costerfield and Tomingley, replaced mined ounces through exploration during the year.
  • Björkdal's Measured and Indicated gold resource increased to 1,497,000 ounces, with results from the nearby Storheden area included in the update.
  • Group Ore Reserves rose to 1.37 million ounces of contained gold, with growth recorded at both Tomingley and Costerfield.
  • Boda-Kaiser copper-gold project maintained a combined Measured, Indicated and Inferred gold resource of approximately 8.3 million ounces.

Alkane Resources Limited (ASX:ALK; TSX:ALK; OTCQX:ALKRY) is an Australia-based gold and antimony producer with three operating mines: Tomingley, an open pit and underground gold mine in Central West New South Wales; Costerfield, an underground gold and antimony operation in Central Victoria; and Björkdal, an underground gold mine in northern Sweden, roughly 750 kilometres north of Stockholm. The company also holds the Boda-Kaiser copper-gold project in New South Wales, where it has outlined a development pathway through a completed Scoping Study, and continues exploration across the surrounding Northern Molong Porphyry Project. Alkane describes itself as holding a strong balance sheet.

FY26 Group Resource and Reserve Update Shows Depletion Replacement Across All Three Producing Assets

Alkane's Group Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource, the portion of the resource estimated with the highest confidence, totalled 8.64 million ounces of contained gold as at 30 June 2026, alongside 1.01 million tonnes of copper and 42,000 tonnes of antimony. The Group Inferred Mineral Resource, a lower-confidence category, added a further 3.76 million ounces of gold. Individual technical statements for Björkdal, Tomingley and Costerfield were released alongside this group summary, each prepared under the JORC Code, the standard used in Australia for reporting resource and reserve estimates.

The update reports depletion replacement at each producing asset, meaning ounces mined and processed during the year were offset by new resource additions from exploration at Björkdal, Costerfield and Tomingley. All material assumptions and technical parameters underpinning the estimates in the supporting technical reports are stated to remain unchanged.

Alkane Managing Director & CEO, Nic Earner, said:

"We are pleased to report continued growth in resources at each producing asset, with all assets replacing depletion through continued exploration and extension of mineral resources. This growth reflects the success of our exploration programs and reinforces the value and potential we see in Alkane's producing portfolio."

Björkdal Resource Grows to 1,497 koz as Storheden Results Are Included, With Reserve Gains at Costerfield and Tomingley

Björkdal's Measured and Indicated resource increased to 22.47 million tonnes at 2.07 grams per tonne gold, containing 1,497,000 ounces. The mine also carries an Inferred resource of 12.1 million tonnes at 1.57 grams per tonne for 611,000 ounces, and an Ore Reserve of 13.12 million tonnes at 1.33 grams per tonne for 563,000 ounces.

Tomingley's Ore Reserve increased to 11.41 million tonnes at 1.7 grams per tonne gold for 641,000 ounces, and its Inferred Mineral Resource of 4.55 million tonnes at 2.1 grams per tonne, containing 304,000 ounces, includes the Peak Hill deposit. Costerfield's Ore Reserve stood at 960,000 tonnes at 5.5 grams per tonne gold and 1.6% antimony, containing 170,000 ounces of gold and 15,000 tonnes of antimony.

The technical information relating to the Storheden results, included in this update, was prepared under the supervision of and approved by Chris Davis, Alkane's Chief Geologist, in accordance with NI 43-101 disclosure standards used for the TSX market.

Boda-Kaiser Copper-Gold Porphyry Maintains 8.3 Million Ounce Gold Resource

Boda-Kaiser's Measured and Indicated resource comprises 537 million tonnes at 0.32 grams per tonne gold and 0.19% copper, containing 5.57 million ounces of gold and 1.01 million tonnes of copper. Its inferred resource adds a further 258 million tonnes at 0.33 grams per tonne gold and 0.18% copper, containing 2.73 million ounces of gold and 0.45 million tonnes of copper. Combined, this brings the project's total contained gold resource to approximately 8.3 million ounces.

Boda-Kaiser was not re-estimated in this update and remains as reported in Alkane's October 2025 statement. The project is located within the broader Northern Molong Porphyry Project area, where Alkane continues exploration, and the company has previously outlined a development pathway for Boda-Kaiser through a completed Scoping Study.

The supporting technical report for Boda-Kaiser, titled ‘Boda-Kaiser Copper-Gold Project, New South Wales, Australia,’ has an effective date of 6 June 2025 and is available under Alkane's profile on SEDAR+.
