Dune Oil Appoints New Director & Management as 2026 AGM Set for November

Dune Oil appoints Neil Maedel as director, Jordan Coleman as COO, and Scott Lower as CEO, while scheduling its 2026 annual meeting for November 16.

Dune Oil Corp. announced changes to its board and management team, including the appointment of Neil Maedel as a director and Jordan Coleman as Chief Operating Officer. Company President Scott Lower has also been appointed Chief Executive Officer, while Sean Stofer will step down as Interim Chief Executive Officer and continue as Chairman and a director. Dune Oil also confirmed that its 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be held on November 16, 2026.

Dune Oil Corp. (CSE: DUNE | OTCQB: TRLEF | Frankfurt: Z62) is a Canadian oil exploration company focused on Türkiye, formerly known as Trillion Energy International Inc. The company has an agreement to earn up to a 29% working interest in the M47 oil exploration block (C3 and C4 licenses) located in the Cudi-Gabar petroleum province of southeastern Türkiye, covering approximately 450 square kilometers. The earn-in includes funding a total of US$15 million for work commitments in 2026 and 2027.

Dune Oil Appoints Director, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Executive Officer

Dune Oil Corp. (CSE: DUNE | OTCQB: TRLEF | Frankfurt: Z62) appointed Neil Maedel to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Maedel has more than 45 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, and the international resource sector, including positions with RBC Dominion Securities and Haywood Securities and founding Zurich-based ProTrader Finanz AG. He also served as Director of Business Development for Manas Petroleum, where he participated in oil license acquisitions in Tajikistan, Mongolia, Chile, and Albania. Dune Oil states that more than $250 million was raised for Manas through equity financings and asset farm-outs.

Dune Oil also appointed Jordan Coleman as Chief Operating Officer. Coleman has more than 18 years of international energy-industry experience across field operations, drilling, production, and capital-intensive projects in the United States, Chad, Argentina, and Paraguay. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of CG International, where he was responsible for activating 4 producing wells with aggregate production potential exceeding 5,000 barrels of oil per day. He previously held operations management, production, and engineering roles with Schlumberger Well Services and President Energy PLC.

Scott Lower, Dune Oil's President, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Lower is a Chartered Professional Accountant with 15 years of oil and gas experience across consulting and public-markets roles. Dune Oil states that he has been the day-to-day driver of the company's M47 strategy and financing and has helped raise capital for the company. Sean Stofer will step down as Interim Chief Executive Officer while remaining Chairman and a director.

2026 Annual General Meeting Set for November 16

Dune Oil's 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders is scheduled for November 16, 2026. The company intends to use notice-and-access, with its management information circular and other proxy materials available electronically on its website and filed on SEDAR+.

Shareholders will be asked to set the number of directors at 6, elect directors for the ensuing year, appoint the company's auditors and consider its Long-Term Equity Incentive Plan, together with any other business properly brought before the meeting.

What's Next

Dune Oil anticipates filing its Notice of Meeting on September 4, 2026, followed by an October 2 record date for shareholders entitled to receive notice of and vote at the meeting. Notice-and-access materials are scheduled to be mailed on October 16 ahead of the November 16 Annual General Meeting. Full details of the matters to be considered at the meeting will be included in Dune Oil's management information circular and related annual meeting materials.
