Maple Gold Files Technical Report Supporting Updated Douay/Joutel Resource Estimate

Independent technical report supports Maple Gold's updated Douay/Joutel gold resource of 905,000 ounces Indicated and 4.3 million ounces Inferred.

  • Maple Gold filed a NI 43-101 technical report supporting the updated mineral resource estimate for the Douay/Joutel Gold Project, prepared by an independent qualified person.
  • The Douay/Joutel project now holds 905,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated category and 4,297,000 ounces in the Inferred category.
  • Compared with the company's 2022 estimate, Indicated ounces increased 77 percent and Inferred ounces increased 70 percent.
  • A maiden underground resource at Joutel added 126,000 Indicated and 992,000 Inferred ounces at grades above 4 grams per tonne gold.
  • Approximately 31,200 metres of drilling completed since the resource cutoff date are not included in the current estimate, with further drilling planned through 2027.

Maple Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV: MGM) (OTCQX: MGMLF) is a Canada-based gold exploration company advancing its wholly owned Douay/Joutel Gold Project in Québec's Abitibi Greenstone Gold Belt. The project spans approximately 481 square kilometres and includes the Douay and Joutel gold deposits, both carrying existing mineral resources with further expansion potential, along with the past-producing Telbel and Eagle West mines. The company also holds an option to acquire the neighbouring Eagle Mine property, part of the historic Joutel mining complex. Maple Gold's land package extends across a 55 kilometre stretch of the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone that remains largely untested by drilling, and the company continues exploration and drilling work aimed at growing its resource base and identifying new gold deposits in the area.

NI 43-101 Technical Report Filing Supporting Updated Douay/Joutel Mineral Resource Estimate

Maple Gold has filed a technical report prepared under NI 43-101, the Canadian standard governing mineral project disclosure, supporting the updated resource estimate for the Douay/Joutel Gold Project first announced on April 27, 2026. The report is dated June 11, 2026, with an effective date of April 24, 2026, and was prepared by Denis Decharte, a professional engineer with SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd., who is independent of Maple Gold. The report has been filed on SEDAR+, Canada's securities filing system, and is also available on the company's website.

A NI 43-101 technical report is a standardized disclosure document required whenever a company reports a mineral resource or reserve. It must be prepared or reviewed by a qualified person independent of the company and sets out the data, methodology and assumptions behind the reported figures. This filing formalizes the resource figures first disclosed in the company's April 2026 news release, following completion of the independent technical review.

Kiran Patankar, President and CEO of Maple Gold, said:

"Our updated MRE marks a major milestone, demonstrating rapid resource growth at Douay and establishing a maiden high-grade gold resource at Joutel adjacent to existing underground development." Patankar added that the combined resource of 0.9 million ounces Indicated and 4.3 million ounces Inferred gives the project scale, grade and near term upside, and that further drilling and project work are planned over the next twelve months.

Significant Resource Growth Versus 2022 Estimate Including Maiden Joutel High-Grade Resource

The updated estimate reflects substantial growth compared with the company's resource estimate completed in 2022. Combined Indicated ounces across Douay and Joutel rose 77 percent to 905,000 ounces, while combined Inferred ounces rose 70 percent to 4,297,000 ounces. This growth reflects updated drilling data, a revised geological model, and a higher gold price assumption of US$2,500 per ounce used in the 2026 estimate, compared with US$1,800 per ounce in 2022.

A key contributor to the increase was the addition of a maiden underground resource at Joutel, which did not carry a formal estimate in 2022. The Joutel underground estimate totals 126,000 ounces Indicated at a grade of 4.53 grams per tonne, and 992,000 ounces Inferred at a grade of 4.11 grams per tonne, both considerably higher than the grades reported at Douay.

The Joutel underground resource sits adjacent to the historic Eagle, Eagle West and Telbel mines, which operated from 1974 to 1993 and produced 1.1 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 6.5 grams per tonne, according to Agnico Eagle Mines' corporate website. The new estimate adds a defined resource in the same underground setting, alongside the resource growth reported at Douay, without requiring additional land acquisitions.

Ongoing Drilling Program Results Excluded From Current MRE Supporting Future Growth

The updated resource estimate does not include results from Maple Gold's ongoing 32,000 metre drilling programme at Douay/Joutel. Approximately 67 drill holes totalling approximately 31,200 metres have been completed since the November 1, 2025 data cutoff date used for the estimate.

Because these results were completed after the cutoff date, they are not reflected in the current resource figures. Maple Gold has stated that additional, fully funded drilling is planned for the second half of 2026 and into 2027.

A resource cutoff date marks the point up to which drilling results are included in a mineral resource calculation; results from holes drilled after that date are set aside for a future update. This means the 31,200 metres of recent drilling remain a separate body of data that could be incorporated into a subsequent resource estimate.

Milestones and Next Steps

The filing of the technical report completes the disclosure process for the updated Douay/Joutel resource estimate first announced in April 2026. With the report now filed on SEDAR+ and available on the company's website, next steps include continuing the funded drilling programmes through the second half of 2026 and into 2027, with results from already completed holes still pending release. These results, together with the report's underlying technical detail, are expected to inform future updates to the Douay/Joutel resource estimate.
