Marimaca Copper Appoints Former Ma'aden CFO Louis Irvine to Board Ahead of Project Financing

Marimaca Copper appoints former Ma'aden CFO Louis Irvine to its board as it prepares project financing for the Marimaca Oxide Deposit in Chile.
Marimaca Copper has appointed Louis Irvine, a chartered accountant with more than 30 years of mining industry experience and the former Chief Financial Officer of Ma'aden, as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective November 1, 2026. Irvine joins the board as the company prepares the project financing package for its Marimaca Oxide Deposit in northern Chile and advances toward a full construction decision.
Company Overview
Marimaca Copper is a TSX- and ASX-listed copper company developing high-quality copper assets in northern Chile. Its flagship asset, the Marimaca Oxide Deposit Project (MOD), is located in the Antofagasta region near the city of Antofagasta and the port of Mejillones, and the company describes it as one of the last decade's few globally significant greenfield copper discoveries, with substantial exploration upside. Marimaca also controls the Pampa Medina and Madrugador exploration properties in the Sierra de Medina region, 30 kilometers from the MOD, where recent drilling identified oxide extensions and high-grade sulfide mineralization at depth.
