Canada Nickel Makes Significant Nickel Discovery at Midlothian Property

Canada Nickel Company Inc. (TSXV: CNC) has announced promising results from its recent drilling program at its wholly-owned Midlothian nickel property near Timmins, Ontario. The drilling intersected long intervals of nickel mineralization starting near surface, confirming Midlothian as a significant new nickel discovery.

All four drill holes encountered nickel grades of 0.26-0.29% over widths of 300-400 metres, beginning less than 10 metres from surface. The mineralisation remains open at depth. The Midlothian target zone covers an area of 1.7 sq km, which is larger than Canada Nickel's flagship Crawford nickel project.

The drill results also revealed higher than expected amounts of brucite, a key mineral for carbon sequestration using Canada Nickel's proprietary tailings carbonation process. Brucite levels averaged 7.2% compared to just 1.9% at Crawford.

According to CEO Mark Selby, "These outstanding Midlothian results, with all holes showing good nickel grades across long mineralized intervals of multi-hundred metres that start less than ten metres from surface, confirm Midlothian as a significant discovery."

The latest discovery highlights the potential of Canada Nickel's geophysical targeting approach, which has now yielded numerous promising nickel targets across its multiple properties in Timmins.

With nickel demand expected to surge thanks to electric vehicle and stainless steel markets, the Midlothian results represent an exciting development for Canada Nickel. The company offers investors excellent leverage to rising nickel prices through low-risk mining jurisdictions.

The latest results demonstrate Canada Nickel's ability to discover new large-scale nickel zones, which will be crucial as nickel shortages loom due to electric vehicle demand. Nickel is poised to be one of the top-performing commodities over the next decade.

As the world transitions away from fossil fuels, those companies supplying metals for the EV revolution stand to benefit immensely. Canada Nickel gives investors direct exposure to this rapidly growing trend.

The company's Timmins nickel properties provide substantial leverage to nickel prices with minimal risk. Investors looking for a pure-play nickel investment with huge upside potential would do well to keep a close eye on Canada Nickel this year. The recent Midlothian discovery is likely just the beginning as the company unlocks the enormous potential of its district-scale land package.
