Cassiar Gold Begins 2026 Field Season with Phase 1 Drilling at Taurus Deposit

Cassiar Gold has launched its fully funded 2026 field season, starting Phase 1 drilling at Taurus and evaluating targets at Cassiar South.

  • Cassiar Gold Corp. has opened its 2026 exploration camp and started a 10,000 metre Phase 1 diamond drill program at the Taurus Deposit in the Cassiar North project area.
  • The Taurus Deposit hosts Indicated Mineral Resources of 410,000 ounces of gold and Inferred Mineral Resources of 1.93 million ounces of gold, with 91% of ounces occurring within 150 metres of surface.
  • The Company's technical team is concurrently evaluating high-grade vein systems at Cassiar South, an area with historical gold production of over 315,000 ounces.
  • Three additional regional targets, Newcoast, Hopeful, and Snow Creek, are being advanced using combined geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
  • The 2026 field season is fully funded and supported by existing infrastructure across the Company's property.

Cassiar Gold Corp. (TSXV: GLDC) (OTCQX: CGLCF) is a Canada-based gold exploration company holding a 100% interest in the Cassiar Gold Property in British Columbia. The property spans 590 square kilometres and consists of two main areas: Cassiar North, which contains the Taurus deposit, and Cassiar South, which contains numerous gold showings and historical underground workings. The Company also holds a 100% interest in properties covering most of the Sheep Creek gold camp near Salmo, British Columbia, a district that ranked as the third largest past-producing orogenic gold district in the province between 1900 and 1951, with minimal exploration conducted since the 1950s.

Commencement of 10,000-Metre Phase 1 Drilling at Taurus Deposit Targeting Resource Expansion

Cassiar Gold has started Phase 1 of its 2026 diamond drilling program at the Taurus Deposit, targeting 10,000 metres. The deposit, located in the Cassiar North project area, hosts Indicated Mineral Resources of 8.8 million tonnes at 1.43 grams per tonne gold for 410,000 ounces, and Inferred Mineral Resources of 63.2 million tonnes at 0.95 grams per tonne gold for 1.93 million ounces, based on a 0.4 gram per tonne cut-off grade. According to the Company's technical report dated June 8, 2025, 91% of these ounces occur within 150 metres of surface.

The Phase 1 program is designed to test three areas: extensions of known mineralization, step-outs beyond the current resource block model, and infill gaps between existing drill holes. Infill drilling is intended to improve the confidence level of portions of the resource. The deposit remains open for expansion both laterally and at depth, according to the Company.

Investors monitoring this phase may look to assay results and any future update to the Taurus resource estimate, last reported effective June 8, 2025, as indicators of progress.

Parallel Evaluation of High-Grade Cassiar South Vein Systems and Priority Regional Targets

In parallel with drilling at Taurus, Cassiar Gold's technical team is conducting field-based investigation and target prioritization at Cassiar South. The area has a history of high-grade, past-producing quartz vein systems that yielded over 315,000 ounces of gold at average head grades of between 10 and 20 grams per tonne gold, according to the Company's 2025 technical report. The 2026 program includes evaluating extensions of known veins, testing for blind parallel and stacked vein systems, and integrating new geophysical and geochemical data to refine drill targets.

The Company is also advancing three regional targets, Newcoast, Hopeful, and Snow Creek, through combined geological, geochemical, and geophysical data review. At Newcoast, earlier drilling identified broad intervals of gold mineralization and high-grade quartz veining with visible gold along a 4-kilometre corridor, as reported in the Company's news release of January 23, 2026. At Hopeful, located southeast of the Taurus Deposit, the mineralized footprint has expanded to an area measuring 475 by 330 metres, with new parallel veins and vein segments identified during the most recent field campaign, as noted in the Company's management discussion and analysis dated May 29, 2026.

At Snow Creek, an area with limited historical exploration, the Company is analyzing structural and geochemical data to identify extensions of known mineralization and new gold-bearing quartz veins. Advancing Cassiar South and the three regional targets alongside the Taurus program allows results from these secondary areas to provide additional data points for investors over the course of the season.

Fully Funded 2026 Field Season Leveraging District-Scale Infrastructure

The 2026 field season is fully funded, meaning the current program does not require additional financing to complete. Field crews have mobilized to the property, and the exploration camp is fully operational to support the season's planned activities.

The Company's ability to advance work simultaneously at Taurus, Cassiar South, and the regional targets is supported by existing infrastructure and mine permits already established across its 590 square kilometre property.

Marco Roque, President and CEO of Cassiar Gold Corp., said:

"We are excited to launch our fully funded 2026 exploration season at Cassiar Gold, with a robust 10,000-metre drill program underway at the Taurus Deposit and active evaluation of high-grade targets at Cassiar South. Our team's focus remains on expanding our resource base, advancing high-priority targets, and unlocking the full potential of our district-scale property. With strong gold prices, established infrastructure, existing mine permits, and a strong and collaborative relationship with local communities, our team is well positioned to deliver value for our shareholders and stakeholders."

Outlook and Next Steps

Over the course of the 2026 field season, Cassiar Gold expects to report assay results from the Taurus drill program, continued evaluation at Cassiar South, and further data from Newcoast, Hopeful, and Snow Creek. Jill Maxwell, P.Geo., the Company's VP Exploration, has reviewed and approved the technical information in the underlying news release.
