Li-FT Power Intersects Strong Lithium Mineralization at BIG East and Shorty Pegmatites, Yellowknife Project

Li-FT Power intersects strong lithium mineralization in latest drilling at its Yellowknife Lithium Project. The company also gained DTC eligibility, improving access for US investors.

About Li-FT Power

Li-FT Power Ltd. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing lithium pegmatite projects in Canada. The company's flagship asset is the Yellowknife Lithium Project located just outside Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Li-FT Power also holds several early-stage lithium exploration properties in Quebec and the Cali lithium project in the Northwest Territories.

The company is led by CEO Francis MacDonald and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Li-FT Power's shares trade on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol 'LIFT' and on the OTCQX under the symbol 'LIFFF'.

Latest Drilling Results

On September 6, 2023, Li-FT Power announced assay results from 12 drill holes at its Yellowknife Lithium Project. The holes were drilled at four separate lithium pegmatite targets called Fi Southwest, Fi Main, Shorty and BIG East.

Highlights include:

  • 22 m at 1.46% Li2O at Fi Southwest, including 19 m at 1.63% Li2O
  • 24 m at 1.12% Li2O at Fi Main, including 15 m at 1.47% Li2O
  • 25 m at 1.13% Li2O at Shorty, including 16 m at 1.50% Li2O
  • 19 m at 1.01% Li2O and 16 m at 1.13% Li2O at BIG East
Location of LIFT’s Yellowknife Lithium Project.

The results confirmed the presence of significant intervals of spodumene, the primary lithium ore mineral, at depth below high-grade surface mineralization. The drilling has now tested over 1,750 meters of strike length at the Fi Southwest and Fi Main areas, confirming continuity of spodumene mineralization to approximately 100 meters depth so far.

According to CEO Francis MacDonald, 35 drill holes have been completed to date, with assay results still pending for 82 additional holes. The outstanding holes include targets at two more pegmatites called Echo and Ki.

MacDonald stated: "We are excited to showcase high-grade spodumene over significant widths at each of the first four pegmatites which have been drilled thus far. With 35 holes now reported we have 82 holes still to report, including holes from two further pegmatites, Echo and Ki."

The Yellowknife Lithium Project consists of 20 known lithium pegmatite occurrences clustered into two groups called the Road Access Group and the Further Afield Group. Drilling so far has focused on targets in the Road Access Group, which are located along a paved highway just east of Yellowknife.

DTC Eligibility Achieved

Li-FT Power also announced that it has received Depository Trust Company (DTC) eligibility for its common shares.

DTC eligibility makes a company's shares eligible for electronic clearing and settlement in the United States. This provides easier, more efficient access for American investors and brokers trading on the OTC markets.

According to the company, DTC eligibility enhances liquidity for its stock and enables Li-FT's shares to be distributed, settled and serviced through DTC's automated processes.

CEO Francis MacDonald commented: "Following a number of US inquiries we are confident that receiving DTC eligibility is another significant step forwards as we provide enhanced access and liquidity to our growing U.S. investor base."

Li-FT Power's common shares continue trading on the OTCQX Best Market under the ticker 'LIFFF'.

Conclusion

With lithium demand surging thanks to the electric vehicle boom, Li-FT Power is well positioned to capitalize with its portfolio of Canadian lithium pegmatite projects.

The latest drill results from Yellowknife confirm that Li-FT has discovered areas of high-grade lithium mineralization that warrant further delineation and expansion drilling. With assays still pending from 82 additional holes, there is strong potential for further positive news flow in the near term.

Gaining DTC eligibility improves access for U.S. investors and should aid with overall liquidity as the company continues exploring and advancing its projects. Li-FT Power represents a speculative investment opportunity in the thriving battery metals space. Investors drawn to the upside potential of early-stage lithium explorers should keep Li-FT on their radar.
