Myriad Uranium Begins Phase II Drilling at Copper Mountain Project, Wyoming

The company started a multi-stage drill programme targeting new zones beyond historic resource areas, with a maiden NI 43-101 estimate as the ultimate goal.

  • Phase II drilling has started at the Copper Mountain Uranium Project in Wyoming, beginning with four holes at the Lucky Cliff target.
  • Lucky Cliff was drilled by Union Pacific in the late 1970s but has never been tested using modern exploration techniques.
  • Following Lucky Cliff, drilling will extend to other historically estimated resource areas beyond Canning, and to new targets identified through geophysics.
  • The final stage of Phase II is infill drilling intended to support Myriad's first NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate.
  • Corporate developments include the pending completion of the Rush Rare Metals merger and plans to uplist to a major US exchange.

Myriad Uranium Corp. (CSE: M) (OTCQB: MYRUF) (FSE: C3Q) is a Canada-based uranium exploration company focused on the Copper Mountain Uranium Project in Wyoming, USA. The company currently holds a 75% interest in the project, with an agreement in place to acquire the remaining 25% through its acquisition of Rush Rare Metals Corp. Copper Mountain contains several historic uranium deposits, including the past-producing Arrowhead Mine, and was the subject of extensive drilling and development by Union Pacific in the late 1970s before uranium markets declined in 1980. Beyond Wyoming, Myriad holds a 10% free carried interest in the Red Basin Uranium Project in New Mexico and owns the Breccia Pipe Project in Arizona, a group of uranium and rare earth element targets optioned to Wedgemount Resources.

Phase II Drilling Commenced at Lucky Cliff Target Beyond Historically Estimated Resource Areas

Myriad has begun Phase II drilling at Copper Mountain, with the first four holes testing the Lucky Cliff target. Lucky Cliff sits roughly 2,000 metres north of the Canning deposit, the area that hosted Myriad's 34-hole Phase I programme in 2024. Unlike Canning, Lucky Cliff has not been re-examined with modern exploration methods since Union Pacific drilled at least 20 holes there in the late 1970s.

Historical results at Lucky Cliff recorded meaningful mineralisation. At least 10 of those earlier holes intersected uranium grades above 100 parts per million, starting from depths as shallow as 6 metres. One hole recorded 355 feet of mineralisation at an equivalent grade of 0.027%, including a higher-grade section of 207 feet at 0.032%. No original assay certificates or complete quality control records for these historical results have been reviewed by the company or its qualified person. A ground-based gamma-ray survey conducted by Myriad also recorded a surface reading of 193.2 parts per million at the target area.

Any mineralisation confirmed at Lucky Cliff would fall outside the boundary of a 1982 US Department of Energy assessment area covering Copper Mountain.

Multi-Stage Programme Advancing From New Geophysics Targets Through to Maiden NI 43-101 Resource Estimate

Once drilling at Lucky Cliff is complete, Phase II will move to other parts of Copper Mountain associated with historical resource estimates, excluding Canning. These historical estimates total approximately 26.6 million pounds of uranium oxide equivalent, though they follow older classification standards and are not recognised as current resources under NI 43-101, the reporting standard used across the Canadian mining industry.

The programme will also test new drill targets identified through Myriad's recent high-resolution geophysics survey. These targets have been checked using a handheld gamma-ray spectrometer.

The final stage of Phase II is infill drilling, designed to generate the data needed for Myriad's first mineral resource estimate under NI 43-101.

President and CEO Thomas Lamb said:

"Our aim for Phase II drilling will be to confirm mineralization, not just at the historically estimated areas of Copper Mountain, but also at entirely new targets identified through our successful geophysics programs and subsequent ground truthing. We also hope that Phase II, once complete, will provide support for a compelling current mineral resource estimate."

Corporate Milestones Including Rush Merger Completion and US Exchange Uplisting

Alongside the drill programme, Myriad is progressing several corporate developments. The merger with Rush Rare Metals Corp. is in its final stages and will give Myriad full ownership of Copper Mountain once complete. The company has stated that full ownership is expected to increase its market capitalisation, attract institutional investor interest, simplify operational decision-making, and broaden access to financing.

Myriad also plans to uplist to a major US stock exchange.

President and CEO Thomas Lamb said:

"Beyond Phase II drilling, Myriad has a fast-moving and exciting 12 months ahead." He noted that the merger completion, the planned uplisting, and further work across the company's other projects are among the near-term priorities.

Outside of Wyoming, Subatomic Industries, backed by 8VC, is set to advance the Red Basin project in New Mexico, in which Myriad retains a 10% free carried interest. In Arizona, exploration is due to begin at the Breccia Pipe Project, which includes the Wate Pipe target and its historical resource estimate.

Outlook and Next Steps

With Phase II drilling underway at Lucky Cliff, Myriad's near-term focus is on completing this initial batch of holes before moving on to additional historically estimated areas and new geophysics targets. The programme is structured to conclude with infill drilling to support a maiden NI 43-101 resource estimate. Alongside the drilling, completion of the Rush Rare Metals merger and progress toward a US exchange uplisting stand as the next corporate developments to watch in the coming months.
