ONGold Resources Begins Phase 2 Diamond Drilling at TPK Project in Northern Ontario

ONGold Resources begins a 2,100-metre Phase 2 drill programme at its TPK Project in northern Ontario, following up high-grade gold results across four targets.

  • Phase 2 diamond drilling has started at the Ti-pi-ha-kaa-ning (TPK) Project and is expected to continue through late November 2026.
  • The 2,100-metre programme will test the Discovery Zone, the Goose Lake and Crying Boy Lake structures, and the new Sidewinder Zone.
  • 2025 drill hole GR-25-011 returned 19.39 g/t gold over 8.20 metres starting 11.8 metres downhole, including 359 g/t gold over 0.30 metres.
  • Historical hole TPK-10-004 at Goose Lake intersected 25.87 g/t gold over 13.5 metres.
  • Drill targets were defined using 3D modelling of geophysics, surface mapping and previous drill results across the 76,292-hectare property.

ONGold Resources Ltd. (TSXV:ONAU, OTCQB:ONGRF) is a Canada-based exploration company holding gold projects in Northern Ontario and Northern Manitoba. Its portfolio includes the district-scale Monument Bay Gold and Tungsten Project, as well as the TPK, Domain Gold and October Gold projects, located in a region with a long history of gold production. The company’s approach centres on technical expertise, responsible exploration, and engagement and partnerships with Indigenous communities.

Phase 2 Drilling Under Way at Four Targets at TPK

ONGold has commenced Phase 2 diamond drilling at TPK, a method that recovers solid cylinders of rock (core) for geological logging and laboratory analysis. The project lies on the regional communities’ winter-road network, which connects to the Musselwhite Gold Mine access road north of Pickle Lake.

The programme includes definition drilling at the Discovery Zone, meaning closer-spaced holes to better outline the mineralised area. Follow-up drilling is planned at the Goose Lake and Crying Boy Lake structures, both tested in earlier campaigns. The Sidewinder Zone, which has not yet been drilled, is a sheared rock structure where surface rock samples returned between 0.89 g/t and 10.70 g/t gold.

Chief Executive Officer and Director Kyle Stanfield said:

“With the spring TPK field mapping and geophysics program successfully completed, we are extremely pleased to now be initiating the fall 2026 drilling program on several high-grade gold targets. This Phase 2 drill program is designed to advance our understanding of targets previously tested that resulted in outstanding gold grades. Initiation of this program marks a key milestone in enhancing our understanding of the project’s mineralized structures and overall gold, silver and base metal potential.”

2,100-Metre Programme Follows Up 2025 and Historical Drill Results

Gold grades are expressed in grams per tonne (g/t), the number of grams of gold in each tonne of rock. All intervals are reported as core lengths measured along the drill hole. Within the Goose Lake intercept from hole TPK-10-004, a narrower section returned 139.4 g/t gold over 1.7 metres, while a second historical hole, TPK-11-013, returned 4.31 g/t gold over 6.84 metres.

At the Crying Boy Lake structure, historical hole TPK-12-030 returned 8.70 g/t gold, 16.74 g/t silver and 0.67% copper over 3.6 metres. This included 59.60 g/t gold, 92.30 g/t silver and 3.19% copper over 0.5 metres.

At Discovery West, 2025 hole GR-25-012 returned 0.30 g/t gold and 1.60 g/t silver over 56.4 metres. The same hole intersected a shear zone grading 11.10% copper, 218 g/t silver and 4.45 g/t gold over 0.40 metres.

3D Modelling Supports Targeting Across a 76,292-Hectare Property

TPK comprises 2,835 cell claims and hosts multiple mineralised structures and target areas. Earlier targeting drew on historical drilling, gold grains found in glacial sediment (till), and trails of gold-bearing boulders moved by glaciers.

The Phase 2 targets were defined through integrated 3D modelling, which combines previous drill results, new and historical geophysical data (measurements of the physical properties of rock below the surface), surface mapping completed in June and July 2026, and ongoing geological interpretation.

Drilling will include continuous downhole sampling and oriented core, a technique that records the direction and angle of rock structures underground. This data is intended to improve understanding of the structural controls on gold, silver and copper mineralisation and to support the development of further priority targets on the project.

Milestones and Next Steps

Phase 2 drilling follows the completion of spring field mapping and geophysics work and builds on the 2025 drilling campaign. The 2,100-metre programme is scheduled to run through late November 2026. Assay results from the Discovery Zone, Goose Lake, Crying Boy Lake and Sidewinder targets will be used to refine the company’s geological interpretation and plan future exploration at TPK.
