Outcrop Silver Confirms 450-Metre Southern Extension at Aguilar Vein System

Blind target drilling identifies high-grade intercepts beneath volcanic cover, supporting resource expansion ahead of Q1 2026 update.

  • Five drill holes extended the Aguilar vein system 450 metres south, confirming continuity beneath younger volcanic cover with the vein remaining open along strike and at depth.
  • Drill hole DH535 returned 0.84 metres grading 1,659 g/t silver equivalent (AgEq), whilst DH524 intercepted 1.04 metres grading 779 g/t AgEq.
  • The company now interprets at least three distinct mineralised shoots along the Aguilar vein system.
  • Three drill rigs continue operations across the fully permitted 17-kilometre mineralised corridor, targeting step-outs, resource definition, and parallel structures.
  • Results will be incorporated into the planned Q1 2026 mineral resource update for the Santa Ana project.

Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (TSX:OCG, OTCQX:OCGSF, DE:MRG) is a Canadian-based mineral exploration company developing the Santa Ana high-grade silver project in Colombia. The company holds the Santa Ana project spanning over 28,000 hectares within the Mariquita District, recognised as Colombia's largest and highest-grade primary silver district with mining records dating to 1585. The company's exploration strategy focuses on expanding mineral resources along the project's 30-kilometre mineralised trend.

Aguilar Vein 450-Metre Southern Extension and High-Grade Intercepts

Five drill holes (DH514, DH517, DH520, DH524, and DH528) extended the Aguilar vein system 450 metres southward from known mineralisation. The holes intercepted mineralisation beneath younger volcanosedimentary cover, confirming the vein's continuity in areas without surface expressions. These areas, where mineralisation exists at depth without outcropping at the surface, are referred to as blind targets.

Drill hole DH535 returned 0.84 metres grading 1,659 g/t AgEq, including 0.45 metres at 3,080 g/t AgEq. Drill hole DH524 delivered 1.04 metres grading 779 g/t AgEq, including 0.74 metres at 1,084 g/t AgEq. Additional intercepts from the programme included DH514 with 0.77 metres grading 439 g/t AgEq and DH520 with 0.70 metres grading 330 g/t AgEq. These results were achieved in previously untested ground beneath volcanic cover.

Drill holes DH532 and DH535, part of the resource definition programme, indicate the previously known high-grade shoot remains open along strike and at depth. The vein system continues beyond current drilling and shows potential for additional drilling programmes. The southern extension adds to the known mineralised footprint ahead of the Q1 2026 resource update.

Blind Target Discovery Beneath Volcanic Cover

The drilling campaign penetrated younger volcanic cover to reach mineralisation at depth. The Aguilar vein system passes beneath a layer of volcanosedimentary rocks that obscure surface expressions. Multiple drill holes confirmed mineralisation where no surface evidence existed.

The mineralised veins beneath the cover display strong structural control, competent host rocks, and consistent mineralogical signatures. The highest-grade intervals typically coincide with pyrite bands and coarse-grained argentite, sometimes accompanied by electrum or sulfosalts. These characteristics are consistent with epithermal vein systems that display metal zoning along strike and depth.

The Aguilar vein system exhibits complex structural architecture, with multiple splays, subparallel structures, and shallow high-grade mineralisation. These features suggest multiphase mineralising events. Covered areas that were previously difficult to evaluate can now be systematically tested. The approach provides a template for exploration in other areas where similar volcanic cover may exist.

High-Grade Shoot Identification and Resource Expansion

The drilling results support the interpretation of at least three distinct mineralised shoots along the Aguilar vein system.

Guillermo Hernandez, Vice President of Exploration, commented,

"The consistent intercepts in blind targets and the emergence of multiple high-grade centres add substantial value to our resource model. We now interpret at least three distinct mineralised shoots along Aguilar, which positions us well for continued resource expansion ahead of our Q1 2026 update."

The Aguilar vein system forms part of a continuous mineralised trend extending over two kilometres along strike, which includes the Jimenez and Guadual veins. Recent step-out drilling has added to the geological understanding of the system. The structures form a continuous mineralised trend with high-grade shoots defined across multiple segments.

The company's maiden resource estimate, completed in June 2023, reported indicated resources of 24.2 million ounces silver equivalent at 614 g/t across seven vein systems, with inferred resources of 13.5 million ounces at 435 g/t. The identified resources span Santa Ana, La Porfia, El Dorado, Paraiso, Las Maras, Los Naranjos, and La Isabela vein systems. The Aguilar results will be incorporated into the Q1 2026 mineral resource update.

Next Steps

Outcrop Silver continues drilling with three rigs across the 17-kilometre permitted mineralised corridor. The programme targets further step-outs, resource definition, and parallel structures. The drilling combines geological modelling, structural understanding, and phased drilling to support mineral resource growth.

The Q1 2026 mineral resource update will incorporate the Aguilar results along with drilling from other vein systems across the Santa Ana project. The update represents the next milestone in the company's exploration programme at the Santa Ana project.
