Silver Tiger Advances El Tigre Construction With Key Infrastructure Milestones Achieved

Construction of Silver Tiger's El Tigre silver-gold project remains on schedule for a December 2027 first pour, with major earthworks, road upgrades and power access now underway.

  • Construction workforce has reached 166 people onsite, with 100,000 man-hours logged since work began, while detailed engineering by Kappes, Cassiday & Associates (KCA) proceeds on schedule
  • Procurement of long-lead equipment is complete, including the crusher plant, conveyor and stacking system, and the Merrill-Crowe plant and refinery
  • Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) has granted the project access to grid electrical power
  • Engineering for the 46 kilometre access road from Colonia Morelos to El Tigre is complete, with the improvement contract awarded and 25% of the work finished
  • Exploration drilling has resumed north of the main El Tigre area, targeting vein systems identified in the company's Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) dated January 22, 2026

Silver Tiger Metals Inc. (TSX:SLVR)(OTCQX:SLVTF) is a Canada-based company developing the El Tigre silver-gold project in Sonora, Mexico. The project, a heap leach operation covering the historic Stockwork Zone, is 100% owned by Silver Tiger and spans more than 37,000 hectares. The company has engaged KCA and its Mexican affiliate, Kappes, Cassiday del Norte, under an engineering, procurement and construction management contract to oversee mine and plant construction, supported by an in-house team of mine construction executives.

El Tigre Construction Advancing On Schedule With Major Earthworks and Long-Lead Equipment Procurement Completed

Silver Tiger's onsite construction team has grown to 166 workers, with the company stating that headcount is approaching 200. A total of 100,000 man-hours have been logged since construction began. Detailed engineering under the EPCM contract with KCA is proceeding on schedule.

Procurement of long-lead equipment has been completed, including the crusher plant, the conveyor and stacking system, and the Merrill-Crowe plant and refinery, which will be used to recover silver and gold from the heap leach solution.

Land clearing and management of local flora and fauna across the construction area is 60% complete, and construction offices have been installed. The major earthworks contract, covering the heap leach pad, solution ponds and crusher platforms, has been awarded, and earthworks are now underway.

CFE Grid Power Access Secured and 46km Road Improvements Underway Supporting December 2027 First Pour

Comision Federal de Electricidad, Mexico's state utility, has granted the El Tigre project access to grid electrical power.

Road access is advancing in parallel. Engineering for improvements to the 46 kilometre road connecting Colonia Morelos to El Tigre has been completed, and the contract to carry out this work has been awarded. Work on the road is underway, with 25% of the planned improvements finished. The upgraded road is intended to support freight haulage to the site.

President and CEO Glenn Jessome said:

"Our onsite engineering and construction team is nearing 200 persons. Earthworks have begun and land clearing is over 60% complete. Long lead items such as crusher, conveyor, stacking and Merrill-Crowe have been ordered. We are very pleased that mine construction is on schedule for commissioning and first pour in December 2027."

Exploration Drilling Commenced Targeting High-Priority Vein Systems North of Main El Tigre Area

Silver Tiger has resumed exploration drilling, focusing on vein systems located north of the main El Tigre area. This zone corresponds to the El Tigre North Mine Design outlined in the company's PEA, filed on January 22, 2026.

The PEA also identified exploration potential beyond the resources already defined in the underground and Stockwork zones, pointing to ground approximately 700 metres north of the current resource areas.

Drilling in this zone is occurring while mine construction continues, with the company noting the area's alignment with the mine design set out in the PEA.

Milestones and Next Steps

Silver Tiger's update outlines progress on several construction workstreams, including workforce build-out, equipment procurement, power access and road infrastructure. Long-lead equipment has been secured, grid power access has been confirmed, and earthworks are underway. Remaining work includes completing the road improvements, continuing land clearing beyond the current 60% mark, and progressing the earthworks contract. Results from the exploration drilling north of El Tigre are expected to follow. The company continues to target commissioning and first pour in December 2027.
