  • Silver Tiger Metals Inc. has been added to the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (GDXJ), effective at the close of markets on September 18, 2026, as part of the fund's quarterly rebalance.

  • Road improvements to the access route are 85% complete, camp installation is 50% complete, and earthworks for the processing area are 30% complete.
  • Procurement of major long lead equipment, including the crusher plant, conveyor and stacking system, and the Merrill-Crowe plant and refinery, has been completed.

Silver Tiger Metals Inc. (TSX:SLVR)(OTCQX:SLVTF) is a Canada-based mining company building the El Tigre Stockwork Zone Project, a silver and gold heap leach mine in Sonora, Mexico. The project is wholly owned by the company and covers more than 37,000 hectares. Its development plan is supported by a pre-feasibility study and underground preliminary economic assessment dated June 20, 2025, filed on SEDAR and available on the company's website.

Inclusion in VanEck GDXJ Junior Gold Miners ETF Broadens Institutional and Retail Investor Reach

Silver Tiger has been added to the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF, known as GDXJ, effective at the close of markets on September 18, 2026. The addition follows GDXJ's quarterly rebalance, a periodic review in which the fund updates its list of member companies.

GDXJ is a widely followed exchange-traded fund, or ETF, a pooled investment that trades on a stock exchange and gives investors exposure to a group of companies through a single purchase. It tracks the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index, which includes small and mid-sized companies involved in gold and silver mining, development, royalties, or streaming. As of early September 2026, the fund held approximately US$9.3 billion in assets across more than 110 holdings.

President and CEO Glenn Jessome said:

"We are pleased to have been added to the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF. GDXJ is one of the principal vehicles investors use for junior and mid-tier gold and silver exposure, and we believe inclusion will raise Silver Tiger's profile, support trading liquidity and broaden our reach among institutional and retail investors seeking such exposure."

El Tigre Construction on Schedule for December 2027 First Pour

Construction of the El Tigre Project remains on track for commissioning and first pour, the point at which the mine produces its first metal, in December 2027. Detailed engineering, carried out by Kappes, Cassiday & Associates and its Mexican affiliate under an engineering, procurement and construction management contract, is now 65% complete.

The engineering and construction team on site at El Tigre now exceeds 250 people. Improvements to the 46 kilometre access road running from Colonia Morelos to the project site are 85% complete, and installation of the mine operations camp is 50% complete.

President and CEO Glenn Jessome said:

"Mine construction remains on schedule for commissioning and first pour in December 2027. On the ground at El Tigre, our engineering and construction team exceeds 250 people. Construction of the mine operations camp, heap leach ponds and platforms is well underway."

Long Lead Equipment Procurement Completed as Earthworks Reach 30% Completion

Procurement of the project's long lead items, equipment that typically takes the longest to manufacture and deliver, has been completed. This includes the crusher plant, the conveyor and stacking system, and the Merrill-Crowe plant and refinery, the facility that will recover silver and gold from solution during processing.

Earthworks at the site are 30% complete. This work covers construction of the heap leach pad, where ore is stacked and treated with a leaching solution to extract metal, along with its ponds and the platforms for the process plant and crusher.

With long lead equipment secured and earthworks under way, two of the steps preceding process plant installation are now in progress.

Milestones and Next Steps

Silver Tiger's next steps at El Tigre include completing earthworks and camp installation, advancing plant installation as procured equipment arrives on site, and progressing toward commissioning and first pour targeted for December 2027.
