Chakana Copper - Financed for March 2024 Drill Campaign

Chakana Copper is advancing the high-grade Soledad copper-gold-silver project in Peru's prolific minerals belt. Systematic exploration has revealed exceptional grades and identified an intrusive center they will drill test in March 2024, funded by a recent oversubscribed financing.
- Chakana Copper is a junior exploration company focused on advancing the high-grade Soledad copper-gold-silver discovery in Peru.
- They have identified an intrusive center that they believe is the source of the high-grade breccia pipes they have discovered so far.
- In March 2024, they plan to drill test this large 2.5 sq km gold-in-soil anomaly that likely indicates a copper mineralized intrusive source.
- The recent financing ensures they are funded for this highly anticipated drill program.
- The drill target was a key reason Goldfields originally invested, and they continue showing strong support for Chakana.
About Chakana Copper
Chakana Copper is a Canadian-based minerals exploration company operating in Peru since 2017. They are advancing the Soledad project, a tourmaline breccia pipe hosted copper-gold-silver discovery, where high-grade mineralization has been identified at surface and remains open at depth. The company has been methodically exploring the large land package, using a variety of geological, geochemical, and geophysical techniques to identify and rank several compelling drill targets.

High-Grade Discovery But Still Early Days
The initial drill discovery at Soledad revealed exceptional grades starting right from surface, with highlights including intervals of 13.4m at 5.6 g/t Au, 128.9 g/t Ag & 6.1% Cu and 2.8m at 12.8 g/t Au, 459 g/t Ag & 7.7% Cu. However, with only ~15,000 metres drilled so far, focused on the breccia pipes in the north of the property, there remains substantial untested potential. Chakana believes they have only discovered 50-100 of the total breccia pipes so far within this fertile mineralized district.
Intrusive Center Pinpointed as Prime Target
The remarkable grades encountered thus far in the breccia pipes are believed to be related to a larger mineralized intrusive center at depth. Geologic studies indicate the optimal location for this source intrusion is likely within the recently permitted southern zone of the property. Critically, a large 2 x 2.5 km gold-in-soil anomaly corresponds with this conceptual target, further bolstering the theory. This anomalism combined with encouraging geology and geophysics has greatly elevated the priority of testing this area.
Fully Funded to Drill High Potential Target
Chakana recently completed an oversubscribed financing, securing over $3M with Goldfields as a cornerstone investor. This ensures sufficient funding to carry out the long awaited drill program to test the extensive gold-in-soil anomaly. Goldfields has consistently and patiently supported Chakana, as they recognize the potential for a major discovery. Their early belief in the project provides third party technical validation. Chakana expects to launch this critical drill campaign in March 2024, which could prove transformational, as it targets the conceptual heart of the system.
Attractive Risk-Reward for Investors
For investors, Chakana Copper offers an appealing risk-reward profile at current levels. Despite very encouraging results and potential thus far, the current ~$15M market cap remains small for a copper explorer in a proven district. The market has Soured on junior miners given the recent challenging financing environment, but sentiment now appears to be improving. As Chakana delivers on planned exploration milestones, demonstrates further growth, and moves towards initial resource estimates, substantial share price upside and re-rating potential exists.
In summary, Chakana Copper offers investors exposure to a prospective high-grade copper-gold-silver project in a leading mining jurisdiction. Systematic exploration has developed several compelling targets that warrant drill testing. The next phase of drilling to test the key conceptual heart of the system, commencing in just 3 months’ time, provides investors an opportunity to position ahead of what could prove to be transformational results for this ambitious junior explorer.
