Gold Terra's Walsh Lake Drilling Extends Gold Corridor 150 Metres North, Opens Two New Zones

Gold Terra's drill hole GTWL26-024 returned 22.46 g/t gold over 5.7 metres at Walsh Lake, with two gold zones confirmed 150 metres beyond the previously known corridor boundary.

  • Drill hole GTWL26-024 intersected 22.46 g/t gold (grams per tonne) over 5.7 metres, including 198 g/t over 0.5 metres with visible gold observed in the drill core
  • A second gold zone in the same hole returned 5.73 g/t gold over 3.5 metres at depth, including 38.7 g/t over 0.5 metres, approximately 200 metres below the upper zone
  • Both zones sit 150 metres north of the previously established Walsh Lake corridor, which was already defined over 500 metres of strike length during the 2022 campaign
  • The 2026 winter programme was completed between 22 January and 21 March 2026, covering 4,904.9 metres across 15 holes using two drill rigs
  • Assay results from 11 of the 15 completed holes remain outstanding, with follow-up drilling planned for the 2027 winter season

Gold Terra Resource Corp. (TSX-V: YGT; Frankfurt: TX0; OTCQB: YGTFF) is a Vancouver-based gold exploration company advancing the Yellowknife Project, an 836-square-kilometre land package situated immediately north, south, and east of the City of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. The project sits within one of six major high-grade gold camps in Canada and benefits from proximity to all-season roads, hydroelectric power, air transportation, and a skilled local workforce. Gold Terra's primary focus is the Campbell Shear, a structure that has historically produced approximately 14 million ounces of gold, while the company is also pursuing the planned restart of the historic Con Mine, which produced 6.1 million ounces between 1938 and 2003. The company's stated objective is to re-establish Yellowknife as one of the premier gold mining districts in Canada.

GTWL26-024 Confirms Northern Extension of Walsh Lake Gold Corridor with 22.46 g/t Gold over 5.7 Metres Including 198 g/t over 0.5 Metres

Drill hole GTWL26-024 returned 22.46 g/t gold over 5.7 metres starting at 119.6 metres downhole, with a 0.5-metre section grading 198 g/t gold at the top of the interval, where multiple visible gold specks were noted in the drill core. The hole was oriented to intersect the target structure at close to true width, meaning the reported 5.7-metre interval approximates the actual thickness of the mineralised zone. Drill hole coordinates were 640027E, 6946214N at an azimuth of 90 degrees and a dip of 62 degrees.

GTWL26-024 was drilled 150 metres north of the boundary that previously defined the Walsh Lake corridor, extending a structure already defined to 500 metres of strike length during the 2022 campaign. The gold is hosted within metasediments, the same rock type that contains the other known Walsh Lake zones, consistent with the existing geological interpretation of the area.

The same hole also returned a second zone at depth, grading 5.73 g/t gold over 3.5 metres between 377 and 380.5 metres downhole, including 38.7 g/t over 0.5 metres. The two zones are separated by approximately 200 metres of depth. Follow-up hole GTWL26-031 was drilled directly beneath GTWL26-024 to test the deeper zone, with its assay results still pending.

Two New Gold Zones Identified 150 Metres Beyond Known Mineralisation Highlighting Corridor Expansion Potential

The results from GTWL26-024 extend the Walsh Lake corridor into ground that was not previously delineated, with both zones sitting north of the boundary established in 2022. The 2022 programme had defined three separate zones across a 500-metre corridor, with intercepts including 31.89 g/t gold over 3 metres and 19.00 g/t gold over 4 metres, which shaped the targeting for the 2026 programme.

The Walsh Lake area has a recorded exploration history stretching back to the early 1930s, with activity continuing through to the mid-1970s. After acquiring the property from Yellowknife prospector Walter Humphries, Gold Terra drilled the corridor to delineate new zones building on the historical work. The 2026 programme was designed to test the most prospective ground identified in 2022 and to push beyond the known corridor limits.

Chairman and CEO Gerald Panneton commented:

"Our now completed winter drilling program has been successful in expanding the Walsh Lake gold corridor beyond the known 500m strike length on our 100% Walsh Lake property block. The Walsh Lake property area is strategically situated 20 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife and is showing excellent potential for more discoveries to be made. With the success of hole GTWL26-024, we have added two new zones in this hole indicating more drilling to be done to follow up on the success of the 2022 and 2026 drill programs."

Completed 4,904-Metre Winter Programme Sets Up Follow-Up Drilling for Next Season

The 2026 winter programme ran from 22 January to 21 March 2026, with two drill rigs completing 15 holes totalling 4,904.9 metres. The programme was designed to test the ground most favoured by the 2022 results and to extend the known corridor boundaries. Assay results from four holes have been reported in this release, with results from the remaining 11 holes still pending.

The pending assays include GTWL26-031, the hole drilled directly beneath GTWL26-024 to test the deeper zone. Additional results may further define the newly identified zones or provide data on other sections drilled along the corridor during the programme. No timeline for the remaining assay releases has been specified in the company's release.

Chairman and CEO Gerald Panneton added:

"These new zones will be a contributing factor in re-establishing Yellowknife as a prime location for many years of further exploration. It also compliments our development of satellite deposits, and the restart of the historic Con Mine once the purchase is completed."

The company has indicated that the new zones identified in 2026 will form the basis of follow-up drilling in the 2027 winter season.

Looking Ahead

The 2026 winter programme extended the Walsh Lake gold corridor beyond its previously known northern boundary, with GTWL26-024 establishing two gold zones in ground not previously drilled. The immediate next steps include the release of assay results from the 11 outstanding holes, which will complete the picture from the current programme. The company has confirmed that the 2027 winter season will include follow-up drilling on the new zones, while work on the Campbell Shear and the planned Con Mine restart remain ongoing priorities. No dates or scope for the 2027 programme have been announced at this stage.
