Integra Resources Reaches Federal Permitting Milestone as BLM Publishes Notice of Intent for DeLamar Gold-Silver Project
BLM publishes Federal NOI for Integra Resources' DeLamar gold-silver project, formally launching the NEPA review with an ROD targeted for Q3 2027.
The United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has published the Notice of Intent (NOI) in the Federal Register for Integra Resources’ DeLamar gold and silver project in southwestern Idaho, formally commencing preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and opening a 30-day public scoping and comment period under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Supported by DeLamar's inclusion in the US Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council's FAST-41 Transparency Projects Programme, the Federal Permitting Dashboard anticipates a final EIS and Record of Decision (ROD) in the Third Quarter of 2027, establishing a 15-month NEPA process and a clear regulatory pathway to a development decision for the project.
Company Overview
Integra Resources (TSXV: ITR | NYSE American: ITRG) is a growing precious metals producer in the Great Basin of the western United States. The Company is focused on demonstrating profitability and operational excellence at its principal operating asset, the Florida Canyon Mine, located in Nevada. In addition, Integra is committed to advancing its flagship development-stage heap-leach projects: the past-producing DeLamar Project in southwestern Idaho and the Nevada North Project in western Nevada. The Company creates sustainable value for shareholders, stakeholders, and local communities through successful mining operations, efficient project development, disciplined capital allocation, and strategic mergers and acquisitions, while upholding the highest industry standards for environmental, social, and governance practices.
A Formal Start to Federal Environmental Review
Integra Resources announced on May 29, 2026, that the United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has published the Notice of Intent (NOI) in the Federal Register, formally commencing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review process for the DeLamar Project. The publication of the NOI initiates preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and opens the public scoping period, during which stakeholders may submit comments over a 30-day window. After scoping closes, the BLM will conduct its environmental analysis and is expected to publish the final EIS and Record of Decision (ROD) in the second half of 2027. Based on the publicly accessible Federal Permitting Dashboard, the federal permitting process anticipates those deliverables in the Third Quarter of 2027, establishing a 15-month NEPA process for DeLamar.
President and Chief Executive Officer of Integra Resources, George Salamis, states:
"The publication of the NOI in the Federal Register is a significant step forward for the Company. This achievement reflects more than seven years of technical work, environmental baseline studies, and ongoing engagement with stakeholders, Tribal Nations, and local communities. Since 2021, the Company has engaged with over 49,000 stakeholders and held more than 1,400 events, tours, and open houses to share our vision for revitalising DeLamar. The Company looks forward to working alongside federal and state agencies to advance the domestic production of gold and silver in Idaho and establish DeLamar as a premier heap leach project in the Great Basin."
FAST-41 Framework & Permitting Council
DeLamar is included in the US Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council's FAST-41 Transparency Projects Programme, as announced on January 14, 2026. This programme is a federal permitting framework designed to improve interagency coordination and increase transparency during the NEPA process.
The FAST-41 designation was established under Title 41 of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act in 2015. The Permitting Council consists of the Executive Director and Deputy Secretary-level representatives from 13 federal agencies, as well as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and the Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality. Its mandate is to bring federal agencies and stakeholders together to improve the permitting process for critical infrastructure projects. Progress on DeLamar's permitting milestones is publicly trackable at www.permits.performance.gov.
Congressional Support & Idaho Community Context
The announcement has drawn public statements of support from Idaho's congressional delegation. US Senator Mike Crapo cited the project's potential to strengthen domestic supply chains while supporting employment in rural communities, and encouraged continued coordination among federal and state agencies, local stakeholders, and the community as the review moves forward.
US Senator James Risch described the NOI publication as a major milestone toward securing the mineral supply chain and creating quality jobs in Idaho, while calling on Congress to streamline the permitting process to allow projects of this nature to advance expeditiously.
US Congressman Russ Fulcher (Idaho-01) noted that DeLamar would advance domestic gold and silver production, create economic opportunities in Owyhee County, and reduce US reliance on foreign sources for essential supply chain minerals.
Seven Years of Preparation
The NOI publication represents the culmination of a multiyear programme of baseline environmental work and community engagement. Since 2021, the Company has engaged with over 49,000 stakeholders through more than 1,400 events, tours, and open houses.
DeLamar is a past-producing gold and silver district in southwestern Idaho. The project is described by management as a flagship development-stage heap leach asset and a potential premier heap leach project in the Great Basin. Integra's operating portfolio includes the Florida Canyon Mine in Nevada, which provides the Company with a producing foundation as it advances DeLamar and the Nevada North Project through development.
Next Steps
Following the close of the 30-day public comment period initiated by the NOI, the BLM will conduct its environmental analysis for the DeLamar Project. The Company will continue working alongside federal and state agencies through the NEPA review process. Based on the Federal Permitting Dashboard, the final EIS and ROD are anticipated in the Third Quarter of 2027, representing the key permitting decision gateway for DeLamar's development.
