Myriad Uranium’s Forgotten Uranium Deposits Offer Substantial Potential

Myriad Uranium's historic Wyoming uranium resources, exploration upside, and strategic location position it to benefit from rising uranium prices and US security of supply efforts.

  • Myriad Uranium has two main uranium projects - one in Wyoming with significant historic resources and one in the Athabasca Basin near major deposits
  • The Wyoming project has over 2,000 drill holes and $117 million spent on it historically, with historic resource estimates of 15-30 million pounds U3O8
  • Myriad is working to upgrade the historic Wyoming resources to current 43-101 standards by obtaining more historical data
  • Recent expert analysis of historical data has revealed a potential for more resources beyond what was previously reported
  • With rising uranium prices and bipartisan support for domestic uranium in the US, there is potential for Myriad as a takeover target or through developing its projects

With uranium prices on the rise amid supply deficits and growing support for nuclear power, uranium exploration companies stand to benefit. Myriad Uranium is one junior explorer positioning itself to capitalize on the growing demand for uranium. With two key projects in uranium-rich jurisdictions and significant historic resources, Myriad offers investors exposure to the burgeoning uranium market.

The Flagship Wyoming Project

Myriad’s flagship project is located in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin, a prolific uranium region that has seen past production. The project area has been subject to over $117 million worth of exploration work historically by major companies like Union Pacific. Over 2,000 exploration drill holes have delineated substantial mineralization across several zones.

“The historic resource estimates came in at 15 to 30 million pounds [of U3O8]. This is just for a combination of a few of the deposits there,” said Myriad CEO Thomas Lamb in an interview. “The exploration target came in at 63.8 million pounds and that related to just two out of, at the time, five and now we think six uranium deposits at the property.”

With historic resources of this magnitude validated by past work, Myriad’s Wyoming project represents a standout opportunity in a state now pushing to revive its uranium industry.

Upgrading Historic Resources

A key objective for Myriad is upgrading the existing historic resources to the current 43-101 compliant status, which requires comprehensive data from past exploration. Myriad has an extensive data set from previous operators, but is working to fill gaps to meet regulatory standards.

“We need a lot more historical data. We need the drill logs, the probe logs Etc...if we have enough we would be very close to having a current estimate maybe we just need a little bit of work to confirm,” Lamb noted. The company is casting a wide net to obtain additional archives from Wyoming’s uranium heyday in the 1970s and 80s.

A recent analysis by Myriad’s geologists has also uncovered even more potential beyond what historic resources have outlined so far.

“This is brand new information...about our project area and the environs and especially about (the area) right in the heart of our project area,” Lamb revealed. The company is now compiling this new geological understanding into a report slated for release in the coming weeks.

Positioned for Growth

With advancing uranium fundamentals and Wyoming incentivizing domestic production, Myriad is primed for expansion. The company offers investors quality uranium assets in a premier jurisdiction during a bull market in uranium.

As Lamb stated: “I invite your viewers to compare our license, our project...against other projects in Wyoming. We have a very big project and it's going to be tempting to people.”

Myriad’s sizeable Wyoming uranium holdings could warrant interest from strategic partners or acquirers as the basin consolidates. Meanwhile, the company aims to systematically develop its portfolio as market conditions improve.

“There's there's lots of ways this could all go and they're all good,” Lamb concluded. And in this uranium renaissance, Myriad Uranium presents a unique proposition with its rediscovered Wyoming riches.

The Investment Thesis for Myriad Uranium

  • Historic resources of up to 63 million lbs U3O8 offer large upside potential as uranium prices recover
  • Efforts are underway to upgrade resources to compliant status which could drive substantial revaluation
  • Additional untapped exploration potential recently revealed by expert analysis
  • Strategically located in the US uranium hub as momentum builds for domestic supply security
  • Takeover potential as Wyoming deposits become more attractive; also well-positioned to organically grow resources

With extensive high-quality uranium assets in Wyoming and a renewed focus on unlocking their full potential, Myriad Uranium allows investors to capitalize on the burgeoning uranium bull market. Though early-stage, the company benefits from over $117 million in past work spent outlining dozens of millions of pounds of uranium resources historically. Recent expert findings hint at the potential for even more resources. As momentum builds in the US to shore up domestic uranium supply, Myriad’s flagship Wyoming project stands out as an underappreciated opportunity primed for revival.
